Chapter 16 You Were Not Good Enough For Her

"Master, Dorian and Roger went to find Third Master together. I heard that Roger intended to let Melina marry him. So..." Feeling terrified, Bill reported the news that had just been sent to him, trying to make himself as inconspicuous as possible.

Sure enough, before he could finish his words, Luther crushed the sofa handrail.

"Well, well..."

"How dare they..."

Luther's cold voice did not fluctuate too much, but Bill could still hear the overflowing anger in it.

In fact, Bill didn't understand how a father could cheat his daughter like this.

Bill thought to himself, "But... it seems like that the person is Madam's father, namely, the father-in-law of our boss."

"Release Vanessa."

"Ah?" Bill could not believe his ears.

"Doesn't Roger enjoy trading away his daughter? Doesn't my third cousin like women? As a junior, I have to fulfill his wish, isn't it?" Under the mask, his thin lips formed an evil smile.

He thought to himself, "Have been too quiet all these years that makes them feel that I have a good temper? How dare they have an idea about my woman?"

"Yes."

Bill replied respectfully. After thinking for a long time, he took out two tickets from his pocket.

"What is this?"

"The tickets for Miss Haverford's concert, which were sent back from France an hour ago."

Luther was slightly startled. He glanced at the time on the tickets and was silent for a long time before he said, "I see."

Luther's temporary business trip made Melina heave a sigh of relief.

Although Luther wouldn't do anything to her with the baby around, she still felt awkward.

Because she was on leave, she decided to take care of her baby at home.

It had to be said that her son really inherited the powerful genes of his parents. Although there were some defects in his character and body, he was very intelligent. According to the butler, his IQ was 190, and he could join the Genius Club!

Melina hoped that the baby could be healthy and happy.

But as Luther's son, Bennett was destined for a life of rigorous elite training from a young age.since he was young.

During the day, the baby was in class and she was reading.

In the afternoon, the baby went to class and she practiced the zither.

When she was free, she would take the baby out to play, and they had been to all the leisure places together except the amusement parks.

It wasn't that she didn't want to bring the baby, but Bennett said that he wanted the whole family to go together.

It could be seen that the little guy really wanted her to be with Luther in a real sense.

But when it came to matters of the heart, who could force it?

"Baby, how many dumplings do you want to eat?"

As soon as he got home, Luther saw a slender figure standing next to the stove with a spatula. His son, on the other hand, was at the table, setting up the bowls and chopsticks on his own, and happily answer the question.

There were a few plates of raw dumplings on the table, and it was obvious that the ingredients were very rich by appearance.

This warm scene was so authentic that it made Luther feel like he was the one unnecessary.

Also, he thought to himself, "Who could tell me why the black tablecloth has turned warm yellow, and sleek black-and-white piano-themed sofa is now covered in Peppa Pig prints?"

In fact, he was thoroughly ignored as well.

Blackwood family didn't employ many maids, and Melina didn't like to be served. Other than the old butler who helped around, they were the only ones in the restaurant.

Seeing that the dumplings were done, Melina asked the old butler to call Tony who stayed at home to come down for the meal. Although Blackwood family also had a professional chef, the homemade food would have the special taste of home.

"Master... you are back..."

Luther, who had been standing for a quarter of an hour, was finally noticed.

"Well, are there only dumplings tonight?" Although the dumplings in front of him looked good, Luther wondered whether Melina's cooking skills were reliable. He had not eaten food cooked by anyone for many years except the chef.

"The chef is on holiday. If you don't eat, you can order takeout." After listening to Bennett talk about Luther's shameful history for a few days, Melina was not very afraid of him.

Besides, it was not good to be picky!

Melina thought to herself, "My baby is not picky about food, so how could a father have so many opinions?"

"Melina? You want me to eat takeout?" Luther suspected that he was hallucinating.

However, Melina didn't seem to care much. She hummed a tune and cooked a bowl of hot sauce for herself, happily beginning to eat.

After a bite, the fragrant broth oozed out. Coupled with the pepper vinegar, Melina had no time to pay attention to him.

"Are the dumplings ready? Madam, I also want your homemade pepper vinegar!" Another figure flew down from upstairs and quickly sat down at the table.

"You don't have any food either?" Luther looked at his assistant sitting at the dining table with an unfriendly tone.

Tony had just stuffed a dumpling into his mouth when he heard his words. He immediately swallowed the dumpling and and grinned, "Yes, but how can takeout be as delicious as Madam's food?"

"Really?"

Luther was stimulated by the taste of their food. Seeing that Melina was about to freeze the rest of the dumplings, he finally couldn't help but take the initiative to say, "Give me some too, and I want that spicy sauce."

"Don't make too much. I'll try some first." The proud Mr. Blackwood added.

However, in the next second, he became completely stunned.

"It's okay. If you can't finish it, I'll take it!" On the other side, his assistant looked at him with a longing expression. Luther thought that his assistant's wide grin annoyingly out of place.
