Chapter 21 Daddy, You Are Really Blind

His face was burning with pain, but Bennett was slightly happy.

He thought to himself, "Since Daddy has seen this annoying woman hit me with his own eyes, he should not be stupid again, right?"

The child's skin was delicate and fragile. When Luther came up from downstairs, Bennett's face was already faintly bloodshot.

At this moment, a murderous intensity appeared in Luther's eyes. He pulled his son over and was about to speak when he saw that Cecily was already in tears and fell down.

With a plop, she fell to the ground with a face full of grievance and fear.

"Luther... I'm sorry. It's all my fault. I shouldn't have fought back just because Bennett pinched me. I really didn't do it on purpose."

"Pinched you?" Bennett was furious. This was the first time he had seen someone twist the truth so shamelessly.

He had never pinched this woman before, and even touching her would make him feel dirty!

"Bennett, I know you don't like me, but you can't pinch me just because you have a mother..."

"Look those bruises. Do you know that I have bought insurance for my legs? Now I can't receive any advertisements for the next two months." As Cecily spoke, she lifted her long dress, revealing her calves with a few bruises on.

With these marks, it seemed that she was pinched by someone, and it was not long ago...

"So, are you trying to extort money from me? Daddy, let me tell you, she lied to you! I have never touched her at all. It was her who spoke ill of Mommy as she arrived here. She said that Mommy was not a good woman!" Bennett was so angry that his face turned red. He held Luther's arm tightly with one hand and tried to seek his trust.

Looking at his angry son and then looking at Cecily who was crying very sadly in front of him, Luther's eyebrows were knitted into a frown.

From downstairs, he had only seen two people pushing each other, but he hadn't been able to see who made the first move.

His intuition told him that his son was not such a dishonest person, but the injury on Cecily's leg was real.

"Apologize."

After a moment of silence, Luther said to his son.

"What?" Bennett was so shocked that he immediately let go of his hands. He could not believe what his father just said. His own father was taking her side?

"You did this to others, so you have to apologize." Luther's tone was flat, but there was an unquestionable authority in his voice.

"Forget it, there's no need. He's still young. Just teach him slowly." Seeing that Luther was indeed on her side, Cecily suppressed the ecstasy in her heart and pretended to be gracious.

"He's five years old. He's not young anymore." Luther did not look at her, only staring at Bennett.

The father and son looked at each other for more than ten seconds. Luther had imagined countless possibilities.

Perhaps Bennett would pout and act spoiled, maybe throw a tantrum, or even lash out.

It must be known that Bennett had learned from a specialized teacher from a young age to study traditional martial arts and self-defense tactics at home.

But...

"I won't apologize."

"I won't apologize to this woman!"

"Daddy, you are really blind!"

The little guy quickly finished three sentences, then avoided Luther's hand and ran away.

He ran so fast that even Blackwood family's servants could not stop him in the first place, letting him run out of the door.

"Master... This..." The old butler was a little anxious. He had taken care of Bennett for so many years, and he was the clearest about Bennett's condition. Young Master had already been beaten up today, and the bleeding would cause his body's resistance to fall. If he was stimulated again, it was possible for him to be unconscious.

"Let him be." Luther, who had been called blind by his son, also burst in rage and stopped the old butler.

After all, the entire mountain villa belonged to his family. Unless Bennett wanted to swim in the water, he would never be able to get out without his permission.

"Yes." The tired old butler also left, leaving the space for Luther and Cecily.

Seeing that everyone had run away, Cecily's posture became more and more bolder. She sat on the ground and did not forget to put her legs together in a sexy posture.

"Luther..." She called out his name coquettishly. Her voice was so soft that it could melt into one's bones.

But the man opposite her did not move as if he hadn't hear a word. He paused for a long time before asking, "Can you still walk?"

"Yes, but it still hurts a little. And there are wounds on my skin, so I can't take any activities for the next few months. But don't be too hard on Bennett. It might be that someone has been a bad influence on him recently." Cecily weakly tilted her head and said so, biting the word "someone" very hard.

She thought that her hint was obvious enough, and that Luther still cared about her, so he would definitely listen to her.

But...

"Since you can walk, let's go." Luther said coldly. Then, he picked up the phone and called his personal assistant Bill.

"Also, calculate how long it would delay Miss Haverford's work because of her leg injury. Give her a check directly."

"What...?" Cecily was dumbfounded. She reacted and screamed, "Luther, what are you talking about?"

Luther's footsteps paused, and his cold voice had a rare trace of emotion. "No matter how troublesome my child is, he's still my child. There is no need for others to worry about him."

"Cecily, I hope you understand that I, Luther, owe you for saving my life, but not our Blackwood family owe you."

"I hope what happened today will not only be the first time, but also the last!"

After he finished speaking, he gave her a cold glance.

Through the mask, she could not see his expression, but she was still shocked by the murderous look in his eyes.

It was not until a long time after Luther had left that she came back to her senses. Humiliated, she shook off the servant who came to help her and left with the check.

Seeing that she did not forget to take the check even when she was angry, Luther lowered his eyes silently. It seemed that there was something wrong with his judgment. However, the main reason why he asked his son to apologize was not that Bennett had attacked Cecily. Luther felt that even if Bennett wanted to strike, he should had done it thoroughly and not let anyone catch any evidence.

Unfortunately, Luther could not say these words directly to Bennett.

Compared to himself who was full of schemes and hostility, he hoped that Bennett had a simple character.

It could be said that Mr. Blackwood was currently in the conflicting period of being a parent. On one hand, he hoped that his son would be outstanding and become a talent. On the other hand, he hoped that he would be able to live a simple and happy life.

...

Although Bennett had tried to prepare himself for the possibility his own father might be bewitched by a bad woman, when Luther stood on his opposite side and asked him to apologize, Bennett felt that he would never forgive Luther for the rest of his life.

"Idiot!"

"Stupid!"

"His brain must be eaten by a zombie!"

Bennett knew that without Luther's permission, he would not be able to leave Blackwood family's mansion, so he tried to run away. When he was tired, he sat on a big rock by the lake and pulled out the grass, complaining about his own father.

After the surrounding servants found out that he did not intend to jump into the river or have any other dangerous intentions, they all returned to their posts and accompanied him from afar, listening to his complain that they had always wanted to say but had not dare to say.

In fact, it was not only Bennett who disliked Cecily. There were rare people in the entire Blackwood family who liked Cecily.

Especially the old servants who had stayed for many years had all personally witnessed how dismissive and arrogant Miss Haverford left when their master's life fell to bottom, and how she came to seek favors again and again after Luther rose to power.

However, none of them could say anything about it. After all, their boss was willing to tolerate her.

Thus, when they heard Young Master complain, they couldn't help but share in his anger, but they also began to worry for Bennett. They thought in their minds, "If this person keeps coming around a few more times, will Young Master lose his life?"

Of course, this question was a bit exaggerated, but they all truly liked him.

When Melina came back, she saw her son sitting by the lake and muttering to himself.

In the shadow, she did not see the red marks on the baby's face clearly. She only thought that the child had fallen into a state of self-isolation and felt extremely distressed.

She had no time to take off her high heels, and she rushed to her son in a hurry and pulled him into a tight embrace.

Startled by the sudden interruption, Bennett was a little unhappy, but when he felt the familiar warmth, he couldn't stop his tears from falling.

When he cried, the servants next to him were also shocked.

All of them stood there helplessly, not knowing whether they should step forward or not.

"What's wrong, Bennett? Are you feeling unwell?" Melina hurriedly let go of him and held his hands to check his whole body.

Finally, she saw the wounds on his face...

"Who did this!" Her furious shout startled everyone who wanted to step forward.

Bennett also stopped crying , shocked by his usually gentle mother, staring blankly at his mother who now looked fierce and determined.

"Did I scare you? I'm sorry, baby. Mommy didn't do it on purpose! Don't cry. If you cry again, the wounds on your face will get worse and then it won't look good." Melina comforted him softly and hurriedly took out a tissue from her pocket to wipe his tears gently.

Her soothing words seemed to work, the baby gradually quieted down and allowed her to wipe his face.

When he stopped sobbing and trembling, Melina hugged him and whispered to him, "It's late now. Mom hasn't eaten yet. Why don't we go home and have dinner first before we settle accounts with that person?"

"I don't want to go home." Bennett shook his head.

He glanced at the direction of the main villa and touched his face.

"Don't tell me it was your father who hit you. How can he hit a child!" Melina's eyes started to glow with a dangerous glint.

Bennett thought that he did not mind defaming his "blind" father again, but he would not lie, so after hearing Melina's words, he decisively shook his head.

"Then who..."

"Forget it, I don't want to go home. Let's go out and eat!" When Melina just entered the manor, she saw Cecily sitting in the race car with her chin almost facing the sky. Melina felt depressed in her heart.

At work, she had to try on dresses for another woman. After work, she had to see another woman coming out of her home.

"Mom, can you take me to eat hamburger?" Bennett's eyes suddenly lit up! Although he never lacked delicacies, he had never eaten the legendary "junk food" before. He was so eager.

"Of course."

"Mommy will fulfill your wish and then let's watch a show. Do you want to see it? There's a trapeze performance!" Seeing her son excitement, Melina also smiled.

As for going back home to check in with Luther?

This option did not exist!
