Before Shannon turned back, she heard the scrambling questions at her back.
“Mr. Yates, how many concerts are you planning to hold? Will your wife be accompanying you?”
“When will the tickets go on sale? Are you inviting the famous bands from Modopolis as special guests?”
“Where are your two kids? Will they be coming with you?”
“Is Miss Renee going to attend your concert as well?”
Mr. Yates?
Ethan?
Shannon was squeezed heavily by the crowds. She was pressed tightly against the door and tried hard to turn back.
Her chest was painful because of the engorgement caused by the childbirth. As a matter of fact, after she came back, her chest had been swelling with pain. She had to endure it because she didn’t want to be noticed by others.
She glanced at a man in black standing as a big frog in a small pond in the crowds amidst the crowd through her eye corners. He seemed to be wearing a pair of glasses and had shoulder-length, black, curly hair, giving off the vibe of Medieval gentleman.
“Sorry, all events will be explained at the news conference. Please step aside.”
An older man spoke out in a sonorous voice, as he opened up a path for the “Medieval gentleman”, stopping the approaching crowd.
Was he Ethan?
Shannon finally turned back. On seeing the man in black surrounded by the crowd, she opened her mouth, feeling somewhat absent-minded.
The sunglasses covered his delicate, chiseled face, but couldn’t hide his irresistible elegance. His entire presence radiated a magnetic energy.
He was even more captivating than on stage.
The people around were buzzing with excitement as if they had been electrified. They kept shouting the name Ethan.
Ethan was a low-profile man, rarely making public appearances. Even when he was caught by the media, he always wore a mask, and under the protection of bodyguards, would quickly disappear into a car, making it impossible for the public to approach. However, wherever he went, the entire city would go wild for him, even if he appeared for only one second.
“Ethan, I love you!”
“Ethan, I love you forever!”
“Ethan, we love you forever!”
“Thanks, I love you too.” Ethan responded to the fans’ enthusiasm. His voice was gentle and magnetic, melting hearts with its warmth.
On stage, he was an incredibly arrogant king. However, in reality, he was really modesty and elegant. If Shannon hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she would never have believed the stark contrast in one person.
At this moment, he slowed down, and a gentle smile appeared on his lips. After that, he whispered to the middle-age uncle by his side.
The middle-aged man nodded, and said to the fans, “This is a hospital. Please keep silent and don’t disturb the patients.”
The crowd started to quiet down gradually.
Under the guidance of the dean, Ethan entered one ward. As he turned back for a moment, his eyes, hidden behind the sunglasses, locked onto Shannon. He fixed his gaze on her, pausing for several seconds.
Shannon draws a cold breath. Her mind went blank, her heart raced wildly, even unconscious of being pushed up to the wall.
Although his eyes were hidden behind sunglasses, she still felt as if she had been scanned by X-rays.
When she looked up again, he had already stepped into the ward.
Shannon forced herself to regain her composure.
It was only then that Shannon noticed her chest was soaked. She blushed with shames and covered her breast as she rushed to the washroom.
After coming out of the washroom, she went to the medical office. However, no one was there. A famous star had come to the hospital, so naturally, nobody was in the mood to stay on duty.
Shannon had to go back to her mom’s ward.
Shannon intended to go back home to prepare the supper for her mom, but the hospital had already been enclosed by the fans. She had to abandon the idea.
It was not until the nightfall that Ethan left, and then, the fans left after him.
For the whole day, Shannon seemed to have been in a dream.
Although she was not as crazy as those fans, she had once been a fan of Ethan as well. She was naturally excited about seeing her idol for the first time. However, she was quite rational, soon, she calmed down.
She went to the medical office and asked the doctor directly, “Doctor Walden, when can my mom have the operation? How is her illness? Has it worsened?”
