“Your mom’s illness has been controlled for the time being. However, the operation should not be delayed. It should be done as soon as possible for the sake of her health.” Doctor Walden, the attending physician of Hazel, told Shannon.
Shannon let out a sigh of relief, and nodded, “Doctor Walden, please be sure to arrange the operation for my mom. I have enough money.”
After that event, she had two million. One million was used to pay off the debt of Sienna, and the remaining million was for the operation of her mom.
“Then, you must be prepared. The surgery is very expensive. Combined with the chemotherapy and hospitalization costs later on, it will require at least over one million. Fortunately, with the donation, you will have enough.”
Shannon frowned, not understanding, “What donation?”
Doctor Walden looked a little surprised, “Miss Somers, don’t you know? Mr. Yates came to the hospital today, not just for a visit, but for a charity event. Patients at each hospital in the city received his donations. Patients with serious illness received special caring – a donation of one million.”
Shannon was stunned by Ethan's generosity and kindness. Meanwhile, she was even more confused. She shook her head and replied, “Sorry, Doctor Walden, I haven’t applied for it.”
“Impossible. The application sheet has been filled out. Hasn’t the donation been transferred to you already?”
Shannon tried to recall but she couldn't remember applying. She had been with her mom for the whole day. And Sienna...
It was then that she realized Sienna had been missing for a long time.
Since she went to the washroom in the morning, she had disappeared.
Shannon wore a serious appearance, beginning to understand.
Sienna had taken the donation of over one million and vanished. She couldn’t be got through and nobody knew where she’d gone. Shannon searched for her for several days without telling Hazel, but she still couldn’t find any trace of her.
As long as Sienna got the money, perhaps, she might be squandering it. Unless she spent all the money, she wouldn’t come back.
Shannon felt angry and resentful.
That was a donation. Even if she didn’t need it, Sienna shouldn’t have gambled it away. In addition, mom was going to take the operation, although Shannon still had one million, she was afraid it might not be enough.
Anxious, Shannon realized her mom’s surgery couldn’t be delayed. She had no choice but to pay the surgery fee first. And she would have to figure out the financial situation later.
One week later.
To the rhythm of the music, tens of thousands of fans waved their glow sticks, cheering, screaming, and even fainting in the crowd.
In the center of the stage, the dazzling man moved with a mesmerizing presence. The sweat sprayed from him added to the intoxicating wildness of the moment.
Shannon had never imagined that Ethan’s concert would be so thrilling. The man was born to captivate the public.
Shannon stood on the open high platform outside the concert venue. She stood on tiptoe and looked towards the crowd inside. She could only see that many medical staff were carrying stretcher through the throngs of people, taking the asphyxial fans to the hospital.
They’d better have fainted after the concert. Otherwise, they’d have wasted the high ticket price. Shannon felt pity for the fans being sent to the hospital.
She naturally had no money to buy the tickets. As a matter of fact, she had come here for business.
To be exact, she intended to capitalize on the fans.
