Chapter 6 Guilt

This was the first “Time” tour of Ethan. Shannon had purchased 10,000 glow sticks. Before the concert, she had sold all of them at lightning speed.

This made Shannon more aware that the tour would bring a rather good money-making opportunity.

Undoubtedly, the arrival of Ethan had almost sparked a fiery boom in the surrounding businesses.

Shannon decided to purchase more glow sticks tomorrow.

“Ah!”

“ Ah! Ethan! Ethan!”

“I love you! We love you!!”

The wild cheers of the fans blended with the rhythms of the drummers.

In the crowd, the light flashed in sync with the beat. Ethan tossed his black coat aside on the stage, throwing iit off with a casual flourish. The crowd went even wilder. Where the coat fell, numerous fans screamed and scrambled to grab it.

Ethan, wearing a white shirt, treaded on the rhythm in each step. With fiery passion, his black hair swayed with his dance moves. He was natural and unrestrained on the stage, causing numerous fans to lose their mentalities.

Shannon, standing far away, couldn’ts see clearly. However, the deafening shouts of thousands of fans almost shattered the sky.

Shannon felt light-headed and clutched her chest to steady herself.

In the waves of high energy, this thrilling concert came to an end, concluding with a moving public song.

“I feel deeply saddened by the story of little Amos. I sing the song for him, hoping he will find peace in heaven. The child is our future hope, and a symbol of beauty and love. Every mother and father should give the kids endless love and should never abandon them.” Ethan sighed with a somber expression, “It is too cruel. I can’t accept it. I hope such tragedies never happen again.”

In the news a few days ago, little Amos was only five months old and starved to death at home. His parents were still missing, and the police were currently searching for them.

The fans waved their glow sticks in response to his summons.

Shannon felt a deep ache in her heart. Guilt overwhelmed her suddenly.

It reminded her of her own child. She didn’t even know if it were a boy or a girl...

Shannon’s eyes filled with tears. She suddenly felt quite depressed. She no longer was in the mood of listening to the concert, so she gathered her things quietly and was going to leave.

Shannon wrapped her arms around herself and walked down the road silently. She kept thinking of the child and its cries in hazy in delivering.

The night wind brushed her face with a chill, but she didn’t seem to feel the cold.

“Wicked girl, stop.”

At that moment, several men blocked Shannon’s path. Shannon took a step f back instinctively.. When she finally stopped, she realized she didn’t know them at all.

“Tomorrow, don’t sell glow sticks there. It’s our territory.” A man approached Shannon menacingly, warning her with a threatening tone.

Shannon replied in a gentle voice, “Brothers, I have paid the rent. If you want to sell something, you can choose another spot.”

She knew Ethan’s concerts were always packed. Fans didn’t just come from Bellview City – they came from all over the world. They followed Ethan wherever he went. As a result, the tourism and business of the city were promoted to develop rapidly, thus naturally generating fierce competition.

“Bitch, I told you, thisis my territory. Are you deaf?” Another man stepped forward and grabbed Shannon’s arm.

Shannon was hurt into tears. She tried to get rid of him, but failed.

The first man looked Shannon up and down and then smiled smugly. He lifted her chin, saying, “Not bad, how about accompanying us overnight? We will might even consider giving you half of the territory.”

“Get out. There is a surveillance camera here. You’d better not engage in any illegal behavior.” Shannon warned them.

“Now that you don’t want to accompany us, disappear tomorrow, or else we will sell you to the nightclub.” The man lowered his head and stared at Shannon’s breast, smiling, “Damn it. The girl is really sexy.” In saying this, he reached out frivolously.

Shannon was terrified. She knocked off his hand and was ready to leave. However, another man grabbed her waist from behind.

“Dear me, still smells like milk on you. Come on, let me touch it.”

“Let me go! Let me go! Don’t touch me!” Shannon slapped the big hand gripping her waist tightly.

“Let go of her.”

In despair, two tall, broad-shouldered men in black appeared all of sudden. They looked hostile, their fists clenched tightly.
