Shannon was brought to Ethan’s private doctor for a comprehensive physical examination.

Each procedure was quite strict.

The result showed that Shannon was in good health. However, she is a little weak after delivery, and needed to supplement nutrition.

The private doctor, Cora Mead, informed Ethan of Shannon’s physical status.

Seeing Shannon standing outside, Ethan nodded, and said to Cora, “You can go now.”

Cora took a look at Shannon before leaving discreetly.

Only Shannon and Ethan remained in the room. An unexplainable feeling of nervousness gripped Shannon’s heart once again. She quickly averted her gaze, not daring to look into Ethan’s eyes.

“You need nutrition. Starting tomorrow, you should rest in bed for a few days.”

“No, thanks. Mr. Yates, I am not that fragile. I come to work.”

Shannon felt that he was incredibly kind.

Ethan frowned, “Cora told me that your body was rather weak after the delivery. My two children are still very young. You can look after them from the bed if needed. As to your child, I don’t mind you bring him here to work .”

“No, thanks, Mr. Yates. My child... passed away after birth.” Shannon lied despite the sadness.

On hearing this, Ethan’s deep and charming eyes were briefly clouded with sadness, “Where is your husband?”

“Ah? I, I have divorced my husband.” Shannon made another lie.

Shannon was taken to the Four Seasons Hotel where Ethan stayed.

The hotel was completely enclosed by the fans. They held plates with Ethan’s name, raised their heads and looked into the front of the asphalt road, waiting for Ethan with perseverance.

Ethan entered into the hotel successfully after swapping clothes with the bodyguard in the car.

Shannon followed, dressed as a man.

Ethan was a man who valued his privacy. He didn’t want to stir up any rumors or media gossip over a nanny.

“Bill, I don’t want my fans lingering here overnight. Tell them to go home and get some rest.” Ethan commanded his bodyguard with a dignified expression.

The bodyguard, Bill, nodded and left to carry out the order.

After entering the presidential suite, Shannon heard the sound of crying children.

Two women were holding a baby each, trying to feed them with brew milk. However, the babies waved their small paws and refused to drink, just crying loudly.

Ethan took off the coat, and his slender figure seemed to be taller. He stepped forward, gently taking the babies from the women, trying to comfort them.

“Are they feeling unwell?” Ethan asked, gently rocking the babies in his arms, his eyes filled with endless worry.

One woman answered carelessly, “Madam called right after you left. I was holding the child at that time. Madam was unhappy when I answered the phone, so she hung up abruptly. They were scared, then started crying.”

Upon hearing this, a ray of haze skimmed over his eyes. Ethan lowered his gaze to the children in his arms, his deep love for them evident.

After a while, he spoke in a hoarse voice, “If she calls again later, do not answer the phone.”

The two women nodded nervously.

Shannon’s attention was completely captivated by the two lovely children. She felt lucky to witness the gentle side of Ethan in front of his children, and was deeply shocked and touched by the tender scene in front of her.

She approached and took one little baby from Ethan. Cradling the little baby in her arms, Shannon watched the wrinkled little face still crying, and felt her heart almost melted. Suddenly, a lump came into her throat, and she was moved to tears. She lowered her head and kisses gently on the baby’s face.

The baby stopped crying and opened his eyes wide, his little mouuth forming an “O” shape.

“Hi, baby, I love you. Do you know? It makes me very sad to see you continue to cry. Can you give me a big smile...” She kept on touching the face of the baby.

On seeing this, Ethan was deeply shocked at the beginning. Gradually, a pleased smile appeared on his thin lips .

Shannon comforted another baby in the same way.

Cradling both two babies in her arms, Shannon looked at their lovely faces and felt an overwhelming warmth in her heart. They were a pigeon pair. With their delicate features, they were the kind of babies that people will take a liking to them at just a glance.

Their eyes were really pretty, like clear stars and transparent amber, much like their father’s.

Shannon kissed the faces of the two children and gave them a warm smile. The little ones nuzzled closer into her arms playfully.

“They want milk.” The maidservant said as she handed a cup of tea to Ethan. She stood aside and reminded Shannon.

Ethan took the tea, his gentle gaze shifting away from Shannon and the two lovely children. He stood up and left silently.

Shannon was clear that Ethan wanted her to feed the children.
