Ethan wanted the children to be fed with breast milk because he believed breast milk was better for the health of the children. Therefore, he had to find a nanny to take care of them properly. Then he could feel relieved.
Shannon happened to meet the requirement.
Ethan drank a cup of orange juice and he leaned against the floor-to-ceiling glass in the rehearsal room.
This was the dance studio provided by the Four Seasons Hotel exclusively for him. When he couldn’t fall into asleep, he would practice here alone.
After settling down, he thought of Dayle and sighed helplessly.
She is the mom of the two children, but she sets herself against breast milk feeding. From parturition, she has never assumed the responsibility as a mom. More than that, she still made unreasonably troublesome, almost hurting the children...
“Mr. Lance wants to meet you.” The assistant, Ken, walked into the rehearsal room and interrupted Ethan’s thoughts.
“OK, let him in.” Ethan stood up and prepareed a cup of orange juice for Lance in advance.
Ken led Lance in. Lance wore a casual suit in an England style. He had an outstanding charm and unrestrained deportment. Although he was not as refined as Ethan, he showed an unruly temperament.
He was a collaborator of Ethan’s, a famous guitar player.
“I saw a young girl in your room just now. What’s going on with you? Has Mr. Yates finally decided to discard his self-discipline and start hanging out with the groupies?” Lance sat on the chair, crossing his legs, and cocked his head as he looked at Ethan.
Ethan smiled bitterly and sipped the orange juice, “She is my private nanny.” Then, he turned to tell Ken, “Draft a confidentiality agreement and ask Shannon to sign it.”
“Yes, sir.”
When Ken left, Lance rubbed his jaw and gave a sly smile, “Shannon, a good name. She is pretty as well.”
“You’d better stay away from her. She is the nanny of Nancy and Wesley.” Ethan frowned.
Nancy and Wesley were the names of his children.
Lance was stunned and the frivolousness in his eyes disappeared instantly. He patted Ethan’s shoulder, “Just a joke. I am not interested in a married woman. Ethan, what time does the concert start tomorrow...”
Lance talked with Ethan about the matters need attention for the upcoming concerts.
“By the way, the journalists from Modopolis have dug up some bad news about you.” Before leaving Lance took out a newspaper from inside his coat and slipped it into Ethan’s hands.
Ethan unfolded the newspaper. On the front page, there was a picture.
In it, his wife Dayle was embracing a strange man. They two were lying on the sand beach at night, entangled together and laughing recklessly.
Ethan threw the newspaper aside, his frown deepening...
Meanwhile, it was Shannon’s first time feeding the children. Her breast ached, just as being pricked by needles. She was enduring until both children were full.
After Wesley and Nancy went to sleep, she immediately went to the washroom to take a bath.
When she got out, Shannon found Ethan was staying next to the cradles in a leisurely and comfortable nightgown.
He was about 5.9 feet tall. His figure was slender and straight, like a pine tree. His hairs fell loosely partially covering his delicate and gentle features. With broad shoulders and a narrow waist, his perfect physique resembled a finely crafted sculpture.
Ethan was just as a powerful magnet attracting her eyesight spontaneously, even in the dimly lit bedroom, even if he was dressed casually.
Shannon forced herself to take back her eyesight. She gathered her clothes and walked over to him.
Ethan didn’t lift his head. He just said in a low voice, “Your mom is recuperating in the hospital. I will have somebody take care of her. You just need to look after Nancy and Wesley. Miss Somers, I hope you will not disappoint me.”
Shannon paused for a while and said, “I will try my best. Mr. Yates, thanks.”
“Have you signed the confidentiality agreement? You have to stay away from the media if you want to work here. Can you make it?”
Shannon nodded, “Yes, I can.”
Ethan lifted his eyes and looked at Shannon. He stood up and walked towards her, smiling lightly, “Let’s have a pleasant cooperation.”
He extended his hand to her.
His full body emitted a light mint smell.
His smile was as warm as the breeze sweeping the ground, a great contrast to how he appeared on stage. Yet, the sole similarity was his irresistible, magnetic allure, both on and off stage.
Watching at his elegant bamboo-shaped hand, Shannon reached out hesitantly and touched it lightly.
All of a sudden, her timid hand was grapsed by Ethan. His hand was slightly cold, but it sent a jolt of electricity through her.
Ethan didn’t show up for several days. Shannon took care of his two children at Four Seasons Hotel.
In these days, whenever she turned on the TV, she could always see Ethan’s concert. Seeing the enormous crowds of fans cheering for him, Shannon couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement in her heart.
However, there was also news that could negatively affect Ethan’s image.
His wife, Dayle, was rumored to be dating with another man somewhere. Even, one media outlet reported that Ethan had a physiological condition that made him unable to satisfy Dayle sexually. A more outrageous claim suggested that Ethan wasn’t interested in the woman at all - that he preferred man.
Shannon scoffed at the screen.
If any of it were true, how could Wesley and Nancy have been born?
These media outlets were really spouting nonsense.
As the news topic shifted, Shannon suddenly saw Ethan on the screen.
