Ethan, dressed in all black with a mask covering his face, walked out of the Bellview Stadium under the escort of a group of security personnel.
Tired as he looked on the screen, he still stood there, greeting the fans patiently.
The streets were packed with frenzied fans, their excitement filling the air. Some held up signs, calling the name of Ethan loudly, while others trying to break through the security guards to hug Ethan.
The scene looked like a massive migration, with people's gazes and footsteps following Ethan wherever he went.
A reporter interviewed a sobbing fan.
With teary eyes, the fan said, “He wants to be a father, so he married Dayle. But she’s not a good wife. She is not worthy of Ethan. It’s so awful how she betrayed him and hurt him!”
The camera then switched to another female fan, who was more excited, “He should marry me! I can have a baby if he wants. I will give him a hundred babies only if he likes.”
Shannon couldn’t help picturing such a scene the moment she saw this.
Girls all over the world were so obsessed with Ethan. If he took all of them as countless concubines, he would be exhausted in bed.
“Shannon, Mr. Yates just called and asked you to take Wesley and Nancy to the airport. You’d better tidy up as soon as possible.” The safeguard Coade came in to hurry Shannon.
Until then, Shannon snapped back to reality.
“Coade, where are we going?”
“Fairburg in, suitable for a quiet life. Mr. Yates has already planned it all.”
“But I have to visit my mother before I leave...”
“Don’t worry. Mr. Yates know you are worried about your mother. He has already sent someone to take her to Fairburg in advance. She’ll get better treatment there.”
Coade then helped Shannon pack her suitcase.
“Will Mr. Yates go to Fairburg with us?”
Hearing this, Coade frowned and stopped to talk to her seriously, “You are just a nanny of the babies. Your job is to take care of Wesley and Nancy. Don’t ask anything about Mr. Yates. Shannon, there is something I need to tell you. Last time when Mr. Yates went to the hospital for charity, he accidentally noticed you. Do you know why?”
Shannon shook her head. At that time, Ethan looked at her when he was about to visit the patients in the ward…
Coade smikred coldly and glanced at her chest, “Your shirt was soaked through, and you had some puffiness at that time. We could tell right away you’d given birth before. That’s how Mr. Yates noticed you. He needed a nanny to breastfeed his babies. You’d better behave yourself and not try to seduce Mr. Yates. Do your job well, and Mr. Yates will pay you a higher salary. But if you’ve got other ideas, you will only get fired. Last time, he fired a babysitter, introduced by his wife, for trying to seduce him. He can’t stand women chasing after him, especially those of different status, do you understand?”
Shannon tried to explain, but Coade didn’t give her the chance and left the room with the suitcase.
Shannon sighed helplessly and walked to the cradle to pick up Wesley. Then another maid came in and took Nancy.
Fairburg was a city with fresh air, green hills and blue waters, away from the noise and pollution in the bustling cities.
Living in a villa surrounded by waters, Shannon held toys in her hands to attract the attention of Wesley and Nancy.
The two cute babies were lying on the cradles, each stretching their tiny hands and babbling as if they were singing.
“Wesley, you sound like an angel. You are excellent, and Nancy, you are fantastic, too. Both of you can sing this song to your father when he came back, right?” Shannon held their hands, looking at them with a loving smile.
She sometimes thought of the child she had never met, who should be at their age, laughing and whining just like these two.
Lost in this thought, Shannon looked at them in a daze.
A news broadcast on TV reported an earthquake that had occurred in a mountain in Fairburg.
