Chapter 16 Never be Reconciled

“Am I dazzled or something? Why was this woman here?

This poor and despicable woman could do anything for money. Why did she get the favor of Ethan?” Dayle screamed in her mind.

Her fear was growing and filling in her whole body and mind little by little. She squeezed her fingers and asked sharply, “Eth, who is she?!”

Ethan redirected his mind, returned to the refrigerator and opened a bottle of orange juice. He answered faintly, “A babysitter for Wesley and Nancy.”

Dayle couldn’t wait to slice Shannon with her sharp eyes. Realizing her hospitality, Shannon smiled slightly to lighten the environment and called, “Mrs. Yates.”

Dayle’s beautiful eyes twitched. She stepped forward and snatched Wesley from Shannon, which made Wesley cry loudly.

“My babies do not need a babysitter! Eth, dismiss her! They need their mother. Me!”

“Dayle!” Ethan was a little annoyed. Seeing that, he stepped forward and tried to take Wesley over.

He remembered that last time in Modopolis, Dayle once covered the babies with a quilt just because they cried and disturbed her. If he came back a little late, the two babies might have died of suffocation.

Thinking of this, Ethan still had a lingering fear.

Nancy burst out crying because of Wesley. Shannon was distressed and helpless for that, so she hastily carried Nancy up to comfort her.

Seeing Ethan getting close, Dayle fell back with Wesley in her arms, “If you don’t dismiss her, I will take Wesley away. And you will never see him again!”

A trace of anger flitted through Ethan’s eyes. He tried to remain calm, “The two babies need breast milk, since you are not willing to feed them, I had to hire a babysitter instead.”

Dayle seemed to remember it. She became calm gradually, looking at Ethan with sad and grief, “Do you think I am not willing to breastfeed them? I was too weak to do that. Eth, how about you dismiss this woman, and I’ll find someone else to look after the babies?”

Wesley cried harder, trying to reach Shannon. Seeing this, Ethan knew clearly the two babies had grown attached to Shannon.

“You are being too extreme.”

Hardly had his voice died away when Ethan winked at Bill and Coade, who were standing behind Dayle. They stepped forward and suddenly carried Wesley away from her by force.

Naturally, extreme methods were used to deal with extreme people.

Ethan’s mild character did not mean that he would allow himself to be completely controlled by someone else. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been at the peak of the pop music scene at the age of 30, nor would he have achieved such unprecedented achievements.

Dayle screamed, but it was too late. Wesley had been taken upstairs by Bill.

Ethan sent Shannon to take Nancy upstairs as well.

Behind her was the sound of Dayle crying.

“Eth, don’t separate me from my babies. I beg you. I am their mother. How could I hurt them? I am not extreme. I am just worried that the babysitter cannot take care of them well.”

Ethan didn’t believe her, “I know exactly what you want. After the divorce, I will give you half of my music rights.” Wasn’t that why she married him - for his music assets?

She had even deceived Ethan into marriage by hurting herself.

Dayle shook her head, “No, I do not want to get divorced.”

“I can’t give you the happiness you want.” Dayle had married him through deception. He could not tolerate that. But he felt a little ashamed because knew he couldn’t satisfy her sexual needs.

Looking at Ethan’s mild yet distant face, Dayle’s possessiveness over him only grew even stronger. She held him tightly, “Eth, I am happy just to see you every day. I don’t want your music rights. I want you. Please, give me one more chance. I swear I won’t be controlled by my mother. I will neither scheme nor deceive you!”

Ethan pulled her hands apart, “Dayle, let’s take some time to cool off separately.”

Then, he turned around and left the parlor without looking back.

‘Wesley and Nancy were too young to live without a mother...’ Shannon’s words echoed in Ethan’s ear.

Because of her words, he changed his original intention of divorcing from Dayle.

Dayle fell onto the sofa, a trace of hatred flashing through her tearful eyes,

“Why? How could he sleep with a woman he had never met before, yet feeling nothing for me! Since their wedding, she had never really had him!”

She couldn’t accept that! She must own him!
