Chapter 18 The Two Women Are One Person

"Do you mean that Sebastian is also here and might suspect your identity?" Ryan Vance was so angry it felt like smoke was rising from his head, "Rowena, I think you are really tired of living in Seabrook. At that time, I shouldn't have agreed to let you go. Do you want Sebastian to recognize you?"

"I'm sorry, Rye. I don't think I was exposed. It's just that I'm afraid so and it's better to make more preparations."

Rowena explained in a low voice. She could feel that the man on the other side was trying very hard to suppress his temper. If she did not admit defeat at this time, she really did not know what he would do.

Finally, Ryan sighed heavily and agreed, “Alright, wait."

Sebastian, whose aura became even gloomier, stood in the middle of the hall and ordered a portion of bodyguards to find the whereabouts of the CEO of Heartbeating and the others to investigate the explosion just now.

Because of the explosion just now, all the guests stopped talking and laughing and stood in their positions, afraid that something unexpected would happen again.

Now it could be confirmed that the wine bottles had exploded, but there were no traces of bombs installed inside, and there was nothing fishy in the wine in the bottles. However, if there was no man-made control, how could there be such a powerful explosive force?

At this time, Rosalind finally found Sebastian, who had just disappeared. She rushed over and checked his surroundings, "Seb, you okay? Did it explode just now?"

"I'm fine." Sebastian was really in a bad mood. Not to mention he still had no clue about where the explosion came from, he actually let that woman sneak away. If he had not reacted quickly to protect her in a hurry, she would have been injured by the explosion.

He thought to himself, "Thinking about it this way... According to the position just now, she was the one closest to the pile of wine bottles."

Sebastian was thinking to himself when he was interrupted by Rosalind.

"Sebastian, why do you smell herbal medicine? Have you been to see a doctor recently?"

"The smell of herbal medicine?"

Sebastian raised his hand and sleeve. There was indeed a smell, and... He seemed to always have this smell recently, so he was not very sensitive. But today, the smell seemed to be particularly strong.

One by one, images flashed through his mind, and what appeared together with this unique smell of herbal medicine... was Rowena!

"What's going on?" Thinking to himself, Sebastian raised his hand and smelled it again. Today, when he pulled the CEO of Heartbeating, it was also this same smell.

Just as Rosalind was about to ask him where he was feeling uncomfortable, Rosalind realized that his mood, which was already bad, had become even colder.

"Nathan." He opened his mouth and ordered, and immediately a bodyguard rushed over, waiting for his orders.

"Have the others spread out and ambush all the exits of the hotel. Don't let a single person go." He said coldly, "When you see the CEO of Heartbeating just now, or, Rowena of Simon's Clinic—bring her to me."

“Yes, sir."

Sebastian had clearly ordered two targets, "Why did it seem like they are one person in Mr. Laird's eyes?" Thinking to himself, the bodyguard did not dare to ask any more questions and quickly went down to set up defenses.

On the other side, Rowena was flipping through her phone in boredom. She knew that the outside should be developing in the worst direction, but she was not anxious at all. Under normal circumstances, as long as Ryan was here, she did not need to worry about anything.

Her phone rang suddenly. It was Ryan's number. She smiled and picked it up.

"You can come out now," said Ryan, his voice much calmer than before, "There's a car on my side at the west gate."

"Alright." Rowena smiled until her brows curved, "Actually, you don't need to call me personally. Just let the person who came to pick me up contact me directly."

The reply to her was a beeping sound of the hanging up.

"Is there a need to be so mad?" Rowena stuck out her tongue, put on her veil again, cleared her throat, and walked out calmly.

“Mr. Laird, we've found the CEO of Heartbeating. There are no companions around her. She is heading to the western entrance of the hotel. Please give us your instructions."

"Keep watching." Sebastian said as he strode away, completely ignoring Rosalind who was trying to hold him back, "I'll be there soon."

Just as she was about to leave, she didn't expect things to go so smoothly... However, the scene of her being taken away should have been seen by Sebastian for it to have the desired effect. While Rowena was pondering how to lure Sebastian out, a tall figure suddenly blocked her path.

"Miss, aren't you going to explain it?" Sebastian glared at Rowena with his eagle-like eyes and gritted his teeth as he said, "You've been avoiding me all this time."

"Mr. Laird, I don't even know you. Why would I hide from you?" Sebastian appeared when she was thinking of him. The little mouth under Rowena's veil curved up with a hint of a crafty smile.

She bypassed Sebastian and wanted to continue walking forward. However, she was quickly grabbed by her wrist. Then, Sebastian flipped his hand and said, "Sorry for the lack of manners." Then, he stretched out his hand to her veil.

Rowena was stunned by his natural movements. She never expected that Sebastian's movements would come so suddenly.

Oh, No!

The tearing actions in her imagination did not come. Instead, her body was wrapped in a familiar embrace. A male voice sounded above her head. It was so cold that there was no temperature at all. However, Rowena could hear the anger hidden beneath it, "Mr. Laird, you are being too rude."

"Brother?" Ryan's sudden appearance made Rowena both surprised and happy, "Why is it that you came over yourself?"

Sebastian's arm was firmly restrained by Ryan. Sebastian frowned and struggled to free himself, "Who are you?"

Sebastian’s bodyguards rushed over and surrounded Ryan and Rowena.

The corners of Ryan's mouth curled up. He thought to himself, "There are so many people here. Are we going to fight? Right on time. I have been angered by my little sister who has been causing trouble for me all day long. It just so happened that I could practice with them to vent my anger."

Instead of answering Sebastian, he turned around and called out, "Ian."

A man who looked like a secretary came over. He looked like a gentleman, but he easily dodged to enter the encirclement, "Boss?"

"Take her away. I haven't exercised for a long time."

Ian immediately understood what he meant. He didn't say much and pulled Rowena toward the door.

"Stop him." Sebastian was furious, thinking to himself, "Did these two people think that so many of my people did not exist?" He added, "All of you, go."

Sebastian's bodyguards were very puzzled, thinking to themselves, "It is just a secretary. Why do we need to go up together?" However, when they saw that Sebastian's face was getting darker and darker, they did not dare to say anything, all rushing in the direction that Ian had left.

"You want to fight me alone?" Ryan's smile widened, his slender eyes narrowed, and he moved his wrist, "I suggest you leave a few people as helpers."
