She blew a mouthful of porridge for a long time. When there was no heat coming out at all, she looked up and sent it into Sebastian's mouth, but just as she lifted her eyes, their eyes met again.
Recently, this situation had happened many times. Perhaps Sebastian did not deliberately look at her, and it was not a big deal to make a fuss when their eyes met. As a psychologist, she knew how to communicate with patients with her eyes. Every time, she could firmly grasp the initiative and lead the other person in the direction she thought with her eyes.
It was just because the man's eyes were too deep. Every time they looked at each other, it was as if they had been sucked into a long secret passageway. It was like he only accommodated her in his eyes and in his heart. But the reality dragged her out fiercely. It made her wake up.
It took Rowena a lot of effort to pull her gaze away from his eyes, and she lowered her eyes, "You can eat it now."
Sebastian opened his mouth and waited for the spoon to enter.
At this moment, the sound of footsteps could be heard from the door. Rowena stopped and turned around to see Rosalind standing at the door.
"Sebastian, are you injured?" Rosalind held the door frame and panted. Her cheeks were pink and her eyes seemed to be filled with tears. Her eager look made others feel sorry for her.
"Rosa." Sebastian called out, "Don't worry, it's just a small injury. It's nothing serious."
"That's good." Rosalind's expression was obviously relieved, and her eyes fell on Rowena who was holding the porridge next to him, "This is?"
Rosalind's acting skills were too superb. Rowena wanted to applaud Rosalind in her heart. Rosalind pretended not to know Rowena and her act was so good. Rosalind had already seen Rowena from the beginning, but she only glanced at her. Without any pause, she just turned her eyes to Sebastian. After asking him about his well-being, she looked at Rowena as if she was a stranger.
"I was temporarily in charge of taking care of Mr. Laird." Rowena said indifferently, thinking to herself, "My younger sister has given me such a good start. How could I not accept it?" She added, "I'll take care of his daily needs."
"Oh, I see." Rosalind remained calm on the surface, but her heart was beating like a drum. She thought to herself, "What was Rowena doing next to Sebastian? Isn't she a psychologist? Why was she here to be a nurse? The distance between the two of them was so close that it wouldn’t be accidental."
She then smiled and walked to Sebastian's bed and sat down, "Sebastian, with me, why bother to hire a nurse? Isn't it good for me to accompany you these few days?"
"I'm afraid I'll tire you out." Sebastian said gently as if he was protecting the pearl in his palm. Rowena had never seen his gentle tone like this, "Rosa, I know you are worried about me, but you also have your own business to attend to."
Rowena felt they were clearly stuffing their sweetness into her mouth. Rowena looked at the two flirting and repeated it three times in her heart, "I'm nothing but an emotionless nurse. I still have to continue feeding him with this porridge. As for how Sebastian shows off his affection, it has nothing to do with me."
"Mr. Laird, open your mouth." Rowena once reached out a spoon and placed it in Sebastian's mouth.
This spoonful of porridge was approaching his mouth without any guilt, placed just in the middle of the two people. Sebastian slightly frowned, but he remembered that it was he who asked Rowena to feed him with the porridge, so he did not avoid it and opened his mouth to eat.
"What's going on?" The smile on Rosalind's face could no longer be hung up. She thought to herself, "As his real girlfriend, how could I not have any sense of existence here? How could Sebastian eat the porridge fed by another woman in front of me?"
"But at least for now, I can help you." Rosalind said as she went to take the bowl and spoon from Rowena's hands, "Miss, just give it to me."
However, Rowena dodged her hands, not even looking at Rosalind. She asked Sebastian, "Mr. Laird, can I?".
Sebastian looked at Rowena and suddenly felt a little funny, thinking to himself, "When did this woman listen to me so much? It seems that as long as I give an order, she will do it. It is very interesting."
"Since you are the nurse, of course, you have to do this." Sebastian replied, but he once again ignored Rosalind's expression that was constantly collapsing.
Rosalind was about to explode in anger, thinking to herself, "Did I not have the right to speak? Didn't my words count? At this rate, after we get married in the future, Sebastian will find so many women boldly and confidently."
Rosalind still wanted to speak, but she knew that it was useless to say more, and once she spoke, she seemed to be ignorant again.
"Mr. Laird, is there anything else you need?" After feeding him with a bowl of porridge, Rowena asked calmly as she stood up.
"Not today." Originally, he wanted to tease her, but Sebastian felt that he should accompany Rosalind well. He thought Rosalind would definitely be unhappy with an outsider staying here, "It's late. You should go back first."
After receiving his instruction, Rowena did not linger. She put on her coat and left, completely ignoring Rosalind's existence.
She drove directly to the kindergarten to pick up Mia and Leo. When she got in the car, Mia habitually asked her for a hug. Just as Rowena bent down, the bruises left in the morning began to ache faintly. She groaned in pain.
"Mom, stand straight. Mia doesn't need a hug." Mia immediately noticed Rowena's abnormality.
Her milky white little hands wanted to rub the bruises for her mother, but because she was not tall enough, she only touched Rowena's leg.
"Mom, what's wrong?"
Leo, who had already climbed into the car, poked his head out from the back seat and asked with concern.
"... I'm fine." Rowena felt nothing could be hidden from her two sweet babies. She was touched, "It's nothing. There was a patient who lost control and accidentally hurt me."
"Then what did she do? Did she hit you?" Leo had a serious expression on his little face. He had seen a piece of news before. It was about a patient injuring doctors. The crazy patient attacked the doctors with knives and bricks. When he saw the news, he was so nervous that he was afraid his mother would also encounter such a situation.
"No, I was just pushed down by her." As Rowena spoke, she recalled the events of the morning, and once again, Sebastian's face flashed through her mind, "An uncle saved me."
She regretted saying that the moment the words left her mouth. Why was she telling them so much? These kids were so curious, they were bound to ask more questions.
Sure enough, just as Rowena finished speaking, Mia cried out excitedly, "Which uncle? Is it Uncle Jameson?"
"No, don't make wild guesses." Rowena patted Mia, urging her to get in the car.
"I know, it must be that... uncle who bumped into me last time." Mia giggled, her mind spinning with ideas, "So, it's like a hero saves the damsel in distress! Next up, the prince and princess live happily ever after!"
