Chapter 30 A Familiar "Accident"

In the afternoon, after sending Rosalind away, Sebastian picked up the phone.

"Mr. Laird, here is Miss Rosalind's complete itinerary for the past few days,” a voice on the other end reported.

"Okay." Sebastian put the laptop on his lap, hung up the phone, and then a compressed file appeared in the dialogue box.

He clicked to open it. The file was too big because it took him a while to do so.

Sebastian frowned and quickly browsed through the content of the page. His face darkened bit by bit, and his hand holding the mouse exerted force slightly as if he wanted to crush it.

Rosalind's journey had too many directions that should not have appeared.

MY Group, Blackhot nightclub, Simon Clinic, and even Rowena's home.

He had long suspected that this woman had something to hide from him, but he hadn't anticipated it would be this extensive. The hours she claimed to be shopping, getting skincare treatments, or sleeping were, in reality, filled with far more "exciting" activities. The nightclub visits alone were enough for him to deliver a death sentence in his book.

The thought of her sultry, experienced demeanor being the result of who knows how many men had "trained" her through hands-on experience made his blood boil.

Alright then, this woman dared to play him.

Unforgivable.

He picked up his phone and wanted to make a call, but when his eyes fell on the other words, he stopped.

No. It was not a good time now. If everything was exposed, the difficulty of investigating other things would be greatly increased. There must be something between Rosalind and Rowena. She had to be kept.

Sebastian controlled the anger in his heart and composed himself. He turned to another number and instructed, "Find out Rowena's recent movements and give me an answer before tonight."

The next morning, just as Rowena got up from bed, she heard a knock on the door.

She trotted to open the door and saw that Ryan was already standing at her door in a suit.

Ryan looked at Rowena, who was still sloppy and unkempt. She did not comb her hair or wash her face. Ryan was speechless. Where was the nervousness of this girl shown yesterday? The Prosperity Business Forum would start at half past eight in the morning. But she just got up from bed at seven o'clock.

"Haha... you came so early." Rowena scratched her messy hair, "Mia and Leo don't need to go to the kindergarten today. I don't need to wake up early to send them to school."

Moreover, after serving Sebastian dinner yesterday, he suddenly said she did not need to take care of him today.

"...Your self-discipline is built on the children's attendance at school, " Ryan was speechless. He leaned into the door and sat down on the sofa. He crossed his legs and asked her, "The two children don't go to kindergarten. But you can't just leave them at home like this. When Mason came to America, he brought most of the White family's elite subordinates. It's hard to guarantee that there is no danger."

"So I contacted Jameson. He will come to pick up the two children."Rowena stuck out her tongue, "So you could not be at home... You need to wait in the car outside so that Jameson won't see you."

"..." Ryan's face grew darker by the second. He didn’t even spare Rowena a glance as he stood up, striding out of the room. His hand shot out to slam the door behind him, but just before the door met the frame, he caught the handle, carefully closing it with a soft click.

It would be even more troublesome if the two little brats at home woke up. How annoying, he was required to leave, and he still had to consider the situation in the room.

The Prosperity Business Forum was not very famous. At most, it was only a business conference in the southern part that was relatively backward in Seabrook. Generally, there would not have any big business news. It was more like a conference organized by a regional spontaneous group to develop the local economy.

Because the conference level was relatively low, few people were willing to attend, and the hosting party did not restrict the participants. As long as they arrived, they could enter and leave the venue easily.

Rowena changed into a new set of clothes and deliberately distinguished herself from that time at the International Expo. Until now, Mason was the only one who knew her true identity. If he did not want to expose her, then this time, she did not need to show her identity as the CEO of Heartbeating.

The two children were picked up and left. After making sure that there was no one at the door, she went out and got into Ryan's car. The two went straight to the venue.

Sure enough, there was no security guard at the entrance to the venue. Rowena and Ryan did not even need to report their names to enter the inner hall unimpededly. They were not familiar with the members of the meeting. The south of Seabrook was a certain distance far away from the north where Rowena lived. It was relatively remote, and the business was not good. There were no large-scale companies, and the outward market was limited. The person who attended the International Expo business banquet last time should not participate in this forum, which saved them a lot of effort.

Rowena looked around. The venue was small. Although few people attended the forum, the space between people was small. There was no independent compartment. Where was Mason going to talk to them?

Just as she was feeling puzzled, Ryan fiercely pulled her arms. Her body uncontrollably fell to the right. Then, the wine glass tower set next to them smashed down toward where they stood. Ryan moved fast. He quickly retreated a few steps and steadily supported Rowena. Fortunately, both of them were safe.

Ryan frowned and supported Rowena with one hand. He raised his head and stared at the ceiling with his sharp eyes.

The tiles there were moved.

"Brother... this is almost the same as that at the International Expo." Last time, there was an explosion, and this time a wine bottle tower smashed down. When she stood here just now, she clearly remembered that there was no one else besides them near this wine bottle tower.

"Really?" Ryan sneered, "He was inviting us at that time. To be more accurate, he is inviting you."

There were more and more people around, and a waiter came over to clean up the mess.

"What?" Rowena looked up blankly, not understanding what Ryan meant, but Ryan had no intention to explain further. Instead, he directly pulled her to the service desk.

"Hello, is here a top floor of the building?" Ryan asked the front desk. She seemed to be a little impatient because she thought he should have known it when he took the elevator up.

However, when she looked up and saw Ryan's handsome face, her eyes immediately lit up, "Yes, sir. Our building has a total of 17 floors, like most buildings."

"Okay." Ryan nodded politely and pulled Rowena towards the stairs of the escape tunnel.

"Why did you ask the front desk such a question?" Rowena teased, "If not I knew you were a good man, I would have suspected that you were trying to flirt."

"During the construction process of a corporation building, the top floor is specially opened for elevators that are not for guests. So, we have to confirm it." Ryan was not in the mood to joke with Rowena. His legs did not slow down for a second. He took Rowena quickly to the roof of the building.
