Chapter 36 No One Would Be Unmoved

"Most of the time, love really has nothing to do with reason." Rowena murmured, turning her head towards the window, eyes fixed on the passing scenery outside.

What was going on? An inexplicable heaviness pressed against her chest, a feeling she couldn't quite shake. It was as if some deep emotion was straining to break free, restless and ready to burst forth, yet held down, suppressed with such force that it couldn't escape.

She had studied psychology, after all—she knew that allowing feelings to flow freely was the healthiest way to process them. But this time... this time she couldn’t. She didn’t dare. She was afraid that even the slightest release would lead her into a downward spiral, one from which she might never recover.

"I can tell." Ryan sighed, "You also have feelings for Sebastian."

Although her thought was exposed, Rowena did not want to deny it.

"He has saved me many times." She said softly, "No one will feel nothing."

"Many times?" Ryan raised his eyebrows and asked in an unpleasant tone, "Do you two have any interaction without my knowledge?"

Damn it. She spilled the beans again.

"Alright, I don't care what else happened between you." Ryan accepted it. They could solve their problem. It was unwise for him to be involved, "But, Rowena, there is no need for you to make yourself so depressed. Tell him. The worst is just to be rejected by him. Then I would certainly teach him a lesson for you."

"Ryan... why does it sound like you have a good impression of Sebastian?" Weren't the two of them fighting as soon as they met?

"He... he lacks manners." Ryan clicked his tongue, "But he treats you well."

Indeed, rationally speaking, there was no need for Sebastian to expose himself when he followed them today. It was better to hide and ask his people to destroy the base. However, when he stepped forward to protect Rowena, Ryan knew he was falling in love.

He could understand it because he was also once willing to do everything for a person.

But that was all in the past.

Ryan laughed in a self-mocking manner.

"You say he lacks manners." Rowena muttered softly, "Who can compare to you in this aspect?"

"You wicked girl." Ryan heard her words and returned to his senses from his memory. He said unpleasantly, "I don't want to blame you today, but you are making trouble. In the next few days, Sebastian has two possible ways. First, directly expose Rosalind and destroy MY. Of course, if I were him, I wouldn't do this."

"Why are you analyzing this for me?" Rowena was unpleasant with Ryan. Did he want her to chase after Sebastian?

"As for the second," Ryan ignored Rowena's refusal and continued, "He will be more intimate with Rosalind. He will even travel far away from Seabrook with her so that Rosalind can relax. Especially, she cannot meet with Mason again. At the same time, he will let his subordinates continue to search until he digs out all of Rosalind's secrets. After all, for today's Sebastian, Rosalind has too many secrets."

"... Indeed, " What Ryan said was very reasonable. Not to mention Sebastian, even Rowena had many questions about Rosalind. How did she create MY? Why did she hate Gale Family so much?

Also, Sebastian wanted to know about the relationship between Rosalind and her and what was the agreement they had reached.

"Ryan, should I stop his investigation?" Rowena thought for a moment and asked with a frown, "If Sebastian finds out that I am buying Gale Group's shares..."

"Stop it?" Ryan chuckled with a sense of contempt, "I can't stop him. What can you do to stop him?"

He just could not be gentle any longer. Rowena complained in her heart. But what he said was right, "Then what should I do?"

"As things develop, everything will be exposed to Sebastian step by step." Ryan concluded, "Therefore, your only way is not to fight but to form an alliance with him."

"What... do you mean?"

"It's what I asked you to do just now."

“Why couldn't she understand it? If they were attracted to each other, wouldn't everything be settled if they were directly together?” Ryan thought to himself.

"I will help you inquire about Sebastian's next move. If there is a trip, I will help you gain an opportunity."

"You are too anxious." Rowena was impressed by Ryan's impatient nature.

How could they do it so quickly? Couldn't they wait to talk about it after Sebastian investigated Rosalind?

"I will consider what you said."

"Ha, Miss Rowena, have you forgotten something?" Ryan was determined to force Rowena to accept it today, "The matter you discussed with Rosalind, Gale Group's shares. Do you still want to take them back?"

"Ah, yes... there's such a thing." Rowena slapped her head, "If Sebastian takes action first, I won't be able to take back my shares and Gale Group's bill."

Moreover, Rosalind wanted to talk to her about the next cooperation.

"Therefore, if you cooperate with Sebastian, you can work together with him to find a way to destroy Gale Group." Ryan analyzed, "As far as I know, Laird family and Gale Family do not have much business cooperation. If you attack Gale Group, you will not stand on the opposite side of Sebastian's interests. On the contrary, if you are good at doing business, Sebastian will be happy to see it."

This analysis was comprehensive. From reason to emotion, Rowena could not think of any reason to refuse him.

"... Alright." Rowena finally nodded. Then she thought of something, "What about my two children?"

"Take them." Ryan did not hesitate and replied directly, "Negotiations need all the information and evidence. How can we not bring his children with us when we negotiate with Sebastian?"

Well, this time, she would become the woman who got wealthy through her children.

Rowena smiled reluctantly, but she did not refuse.

However, the next day, when Rowena received Ryan's call, he was no longer as rational as yesterday.

“Damn it, is Sebastian out of his mind?” Ryan cursed bluntly, no holds barred. If the man wasn’t already back in Switzerland, he’d be itching to challenge him to a fight. "He actually signed up for a couples' honeymoon tour!"

Ryan was fuming, feeling like all the good words he said about Sebastian yesterday were wasted—completely down the drain. Hell, yesterday he should’ve just gathered a crew and let things spiral into a full-blown brawl, leaving that guy crawling on the ground for a year, unable to even get out of bed!

Was it like what Rowena had said? Did Sebastian really deeply love Rosalind?
