Chapter 47 Something Was Wrong with Jameson

It was another new day. The cruise ship docked on the island. Rowena originally wanted to rest today, but unexpectedly, Jameson, who originally had no interest in this trip, was getting excited. He insisted on pulling her off the ship and playing with other people in the tour group.

"We're already here. We shouldn't miss such good scenery."

Jameson tidied up his clothes. Today, his clothes were different. He changed out of his previous sportswear into a striped casual shirt. Although he was still wearing casual clothes, he showed his lean waist. He was tall and dazzling.

“You’re all dressed up! What’s the occasion?” Rowena teased, noticing how lively Jameson looked. Her own mood lifted as she joked, “Anyone would think you’ve fallen in love.”

Jameson chuckled, his tone carrying a deeper meaning. “As long as you think it looks good.”

Rowena laughed. “Come on, what does my opinion matter? I see you dressed up all the time.”

What do you mean it doesn’t matter? Jameson thought to himself. Your opinion isn’t just important—it’s the only thing that matters.

Keeping his expression casual, he added, “The scenery outside is beautiful today. You should wear something nice too.”

"Do I have to compete with the scenery?" Rowena asked with a smile. She looked up from the pile of clothes and gazed at Jameson, "You're not right today."

"No. I want to say that if you wear better clothes, you will look better when taking photos." Jameson concealed a trace of embarrassment and switched to a joking tone, "How could you say I'm strange? You can't even understand the meaning in my words."

"Maybe it's because my brain was overloaded recently." Rowena asked as she pulled out the light blue culottes from her luggage, "Are these clothes okay?"

Although it was the style of culottes, it was like a skirt if one did not look closely. Most importantly, its patterns were vertical stripes as well.

Jameson's heart skipped a beat. Just as he nodded and agreed, the two children ran in.

"Mom, have you changed your clothes? Let's go!" When Mia heard that Rowena was going to leave the boat to participate in the travel activities, she was so happy.

"Mom, do you want to wear this?" Leo was more careful. He noticed the clothes in Rowena's hands, "Today, I heard from the tour guide that we will climb the mountain. It might be inconvenient for Mom to wear this."

"Eh? Is that so?" Rowena looked at the clothing in her hands and felt it was unsuitable.

"It's okay. The clothing is a pair of culottes. It just looks inconvenient." Jameson pretended to suggest casually."There's nothing wrong if you wear it."

"Ah, Uncle Jameson looks so handsome today!" Mia noticed that Jameson was dressed differently than usual today. She was not stingy with her praise, "Just like the clothes in mother's hands with vertical stripes. They are like the couple outfits."

Children said what they liked. The word "couple" was said naturally by Mia. However, Rowena, who was listening on the side, frowned. She almost immediately put down her clothes and went to find others.

Jameson and she were not a couple. They were wearing two clothes that looked so similar. Wasn't it deliberately attracting people to misunderstand? Everyone would be embarrassed.

Jameson saw Rowena's actions. His expression darkened, and he did not say anything.

After breakfast, today's travel began. Today's activity was climbing mountains. The two children excitedly ran to the front, leaving Rowena and Jameson far behind.

What surprised Rowena was that she didn't meet any strange eyes today. Rosalind couldn't bear the slightest grievance. The matter of her pushing her down into the sea should have spread far and wide. Before she came out, Rowena had also mentally prepared herself. It's just a casual encounter. It didn't matter what others said.

However, Rosalind was too quiet. Today, she met her eyes several times. But she deliberately avoided her. She had no intention of causing trouble at all.

Did Sebastian say something to her? Rowena did not know. She was too lazy to figure it out. Recently, her heart was in a mess. She had always been in a bad mental state. It was not easy for Rosalind not to bother her. She just happened to be quiet.

When it was almost noon, the tour group finally climbed to the hilltop of the island.

When looking from above, the scenery was panoramic. The sea also seemed to become less scary. It was azure blue, like a spotless crystal.

"What a romantic place." Rowena sighed and enjoyed the cool breeze.

"Yes." Jameson echoed from the side, "If...I mean, if I can make a promise with the person I love for the rest of my life here, it will be a good choice."

“You’ve been saying strange things today." Rowena did not turn to look at him, her gaze fixed on the scenery in the distance, "However, for me, I would prefer a quiet night with only two people."

Time did not matter. Space did not matter. Just with the atmosphere, no matter how noisy the surroundings were, they would feel like only two people were left in the world. Their hearts were empty because they knew someone would fill them up in the next second. It was so soft and comfortable.

A man's image was on the verge of appearing in her mind.

"Mom, come and take a look. I found it with Leo!"

Mia shouted in a childish voice, interrupting Rowena's thoughts. She turned around and saw that Mia was holding something in her hand. She ran over when she was thinking.

"Colorful stones! We found a lot of colorful stones!"

Mia's voice attracted the attention of the tour guide. She walked and said, "Little girl, good for you! This island gained its name because of the Rainbow Stones. However, these stones are scattered all over the place. They are difficult to be found. You are lucky."

"Is it hard to find?" Mia was even more excited, "But Leo and I found a lot at once!"
