"Ben, hurry up and get online!"
Ben was glued to his screen, his cute face lighting up.
Awesome - his hero was coming to America!
"Ben!" Isabella snapped, annoyed at being ignored.
"What?" Ben looked up, confused.
Isabella waved her tiny fist. "Play with me already!"
But Ben knew better. His sister was totally two-faced - sweet as pie around Mom, bossy as anything with him.
"I'll play, but you gotta do something for me first."
"What?" Isabella asked, curiosity beating out her anger.
When the screen showed a handsome guy, Isabella's eyes went wide. "Who's that?"
"My hero," Ben said proudly, his brown eyes shining with admiration.
"Wow! He looks just like you, but grown-up," Isabella tilted her head thoughtfully. "Maybe he could be our daddy?"
Ben almost lectured her about not picking dads based on looks, but then thought the same thing. Having his hero as a dad would be amazing - he could learn so much and make money to spoil Mom.
But he knew that was just a dream.
The twins made their deal in whispers, then settled in with their iPads to game.
Meanwhile, Aria finished her Starry Sea designs and started making new clothes for the kids. She'd made all their clothes since they were babies. With winter coming and how much they'd grown, last year's stuff wouldn't cut it anymore.
That night after tucking in the twins, Aria had an unsettling dream about him - someone she thought she'd forgotten. She woke up scared and angry, those feelings following her into morning.
After breakfast, she took the kids to kindergarten, making apologies along the way. Though Isabella was a handful, her sweet personality and honest approach to her mistakes won over the teachers and parents. Still, Aria made sure to bring peace offerings.
Dropping off the kids, she called her bestie Mary.
"Hey, can you watch the twins tonight? Got this work dinner I can't skip."
"Sure thing, no problem!" Mary said.
The new boss wasn't showing up till 5 PM, so Jeremy, the GM, arranged dinner for everyone to meet him.
Aria's eye wouldn't stop twitching, her heart pounding. Something felt off.
She really didn't want to go, but as design department head, ducking out last minute would look terrible.
"Gonna hit the ladies' room real quick," Aria told her coworkers, heading that way.
The restrooms were on opposite sides. As Aria entered the women's room, a tall man in a perfectly fitted suit stepped out of the men's. His whole vibe screamed power and privilege.
James nearly collided with a little boy racing past. He caught the kid smoothly, then froze, studying the boy's face. Something familiar tugged at his memory.
"You okay there?" he asked in his typical ice-prince voice.
That was just his way - cool and distant, yet incredibly successful. In five years, he'd turned Anderson Group into a global powerhouse, becoming the country's wealthiest man before hitting 35.
Standing there in his designer suit, he looked like a movie star - tall, sharp features, the kind of looks that made people stop and stare.
Ben could barely contain himself, seeing his idol in person. His little hands balled into excited fists at his sides.
