Chapter 12

We talked for nearly an hour before Sarah finally calmed down and took a few bites of her meal.

When I got home, I spent most of the night thinking, and finally came to the conclusion that, regardless of whether Tyler or someone else was behind this, the priority was to get hold of the other memory cards.

Although Sarah’s marriage was a complete mess—her husband had a mistress and a young daughter outside, and she herself had an affair with someone seven or eight years younger—at the end of the day, this was still a private family matter.

But the person who installed the cameras and recorded the videos was a different story.

From secretly filming to distributing the footage, it was all illegal!

Having made up my mind, I arrived at the office early the next day and, under the pretense of organizing a basketball game, called Tyler in.

Once inside the office, Tyler glanced around a few times before sitting down across from me with a smile.

“Ms. Anderson, calling me over in broad daylight like this… isn’t that a little inappropriate?”

His insinuation sickened me, and I suddenly found his handsome face repulsive.

Ignoring his remark, I got straight to the point. “Did you set up the cameras?”

Tyler’s eyes wavered for a split second, and I caught it immediately. He waved his hand dismissively. “What are you talking about, Ms. Anderson? I really don’t understand.”

I gave a cold chuckle and turned my computer screen toward him, then hit the play button.

This was a clip I had gotten from the network admin, showing footage from the school’s surveillance cameras. In the video, Tyler was casually dressed in a hoodie and baseball cap, strolling up to the dorm rooftop.

From the footage, it looked like Tyler was just wandering around, then he moved into a blind spot in the surveillance coverage. A few minutes later, he went back downstairs.
