Today, the show assigned different tasks to each group: one to help at the farm, another at the orchard, and the last to stay home, clean up, and prepare dinner - they even had to figure out the ingredients themselves.
Through a random draw, Lily and Ethan's group got the task of catching chickens and collecting eggs at the farm.
I trailed behind the crew, following those two.
Lily was in high spirits, chatting and laughing the whole way, constantly bringing up new topics.
"Evan, have you ever caught a chicken before? I haven't, so I'm counting on you to help me out."
"Are you from this village? What do you do for work? You look kind of familiar, like a classmate I had in high school."
"Your quiet nature reminds me of him too."
"I guess I'll keep talking then, but don't get annoyed with me, okay?"
Created a fake identity and went by the name Evan?
Well, I'm pretty satisfied with this cold attitude of his. Ten bonus points!
I watched Ethan's reactions while checking the comments on the live stream on my phone.
[Lily's such an angel, so considerate of others' feelings.]
[This guy's so stuck-up, not saying a word the whole time. Our Lily, a top actress, has to humble herself to cheer him up.]
[It's normal for non-celebrities to be nervous on shows. That guy probably has the same expression for everyone because he's not used to the cameras yet.]
[I think this guy has a great vibe. With a little polishing, he could be quite something. And the height difference between them is so cute. I'm totally shipping it!]
'Ship, ship, ship - girl, you're shipping nonsense! You'll ship yourself into trouble if you keep this up!'
At the chicken coop.
Lily and Ethan put on the protective gear provided by the show and entered the coop.
Neither had much experience catching chickens. Ethan, being braver, tried a few times and occasionally touched a wing, but couldn't grab one.
Lily seemed terrified, constantly shrinking back and hiding behind Ethan.
Suddenly, a chicken went berserk and flew at Ethan, squawking like crazy. Ethan tried to dodge while also looking out for Lily behind him.
