Chapter 17

"Evan, don't push your luck. Me liking you is a big deal. You're just a poor country boy - you should count your lucky stars I even looked your way. Stop acting all high and mighty and quit avoiding me."

"And that stuff about being married - you're just making that up to get rid of me, aren't you?"

"What can you do to me, even if your foot heals? I'm a big star. I could easily post on Insta saying you sexually harassed me, and boom - you'd be in the middle of a social media storm, getting dragged online. Wanna bet?"

...

Compared to her so-called evidence earlier, this was rock-solid proof.

The female guest who was supporting Lily slowly let go of her hand and stepped away.

[Mind-blowing! First time I've wanted to describe a female celebrity as creepy, sleazy, and disgusting.]

[I never liked Lily. Now I finally understand why - she's just fake, a hypocrite.]

[She knows she's a star and understands how public opinion can ruin someone instantly, yet she abuses it and uses it to threaten others. This woman's heart is terrifying and dark.]

[Ban her, ban her now!]

"No, it's not true." Lily, visibly upset, rushed towards me trying to grab my phone but missed. She started to make excuses, "This recording is fake. You fabricated it."

She wouldn't believe it until she's six feet under.

"We can have experts verify whether it's fake or not. Also, there's another issue we need to settle. Emily, come out please."

Lily's assistant timidly walked to the center of the crowd.

I rolled up her sleeve, revealing bruise after bruise, even cigarette burns. It was horrifying to see.

And this was just a small part of it. Her legs and back had just as many, if not more.

Unable to contain my anger any longer, I loudly questioned Lily, "Is this fake too? You've been abusing your assistant, using her as an emotional punching bag. You hit and yell at her constantly, and threaten to have her killed if she speaks out. Lily, she's just a college intern. How could you be so cruel?"

Back then, you were two-faced, all nice in public but different behind closed doors. At least you didn't hurt people then. I never thought after all these years you'd turn into this kind of person.
