Emma's POV:

Before Adrian could say something, I mumbled, "I need to go home to grab the marriage certificate. I forgot to bring it."

The silence stretched for a long moment before he finally said, "Aria's never been here before. I never told her about this place."

If that were true, it meant Aria had been stalking her own boyfriend. How ridiculous.

The thought reminded me of our so-called chance encounter at the restaurant near the TV ...
