She hugs me again. I head straight for the back door, strip down, and shift into Puna, leaving my clothes on the back step with Ella.

Puna takes over and runs for miles. This feels amazing - the wind in our fur, mud between our paws. Pure heaven.

"Know what we haven't done in forever? Sleep in a tree," Puna says.

I laugh. "Yeah, that'd be cool. Just like the old forest, hiding from hunters."
