Chapter 3

Before I entered the story, the original female villain was a complete pushover.

She was willing to stay by Lorenzo’s side, accepting a nameless, unacknowledged role. Lorenzo had clearly grown used to her submissive behavior, so while he was surprised now, his confidence was still unwavering.

"You’d better not have done anything, I find it disgusting."

"Okay, boss, I understand. A man’s most valuable asset is his virtue. You can’t lose it."

Lorenzo choked up for a moment, then cleared his throat.

"Yara will be back this weekend. Stay out of the house."

Yara Taylor, the female lead, pure, noble, and ambitious, the one Lorenzo truly cared about, his one and only obsession. The original female villain could never compete with her.

I pouted, immediately adding a pitiful tone to my voice.

"You’re so heartless and cold. I’ve been with you for so long, I may not have contributed much, but I’ve suffered! Since we’ve been living together, I’ve been stuck in this crappy villa. I have to drive out to buy groceries, do you know I don’t even know the way?"

Lorenzo, "..."

Overload! I went in for the kill.

"You don’t care! You only love yourself!"

"But I’m a person too! I have feelings! I could die in a car accident, you know!"

Seeing that Lorenzo was about to lose it, I changed tactics.

"But if I had money, forget about disappearing for a weekend, I could disappear forever!"

Lorenzo finally caught on, and mockery appeared in his eyes.

"What? Not so noble anymore?"

The original female villain had always despised money, and despite Lorenzo throwing cash at her to get her to leave, she never took it.

I gave a shy smile.

"It’s not about being noble, it’s just..."

Lorenzo lowered his head and started rifling through his wallet.

"...You didn’t give me enough before."

Lorenzo froze, his hand stopping in mid-air with the card.

"This card has a limit of $500,000..."

Tsk tsk, typical of a powerful CEO to casually hand out half a million. I respectfully snatched the card from him.

"That’s enough for now. If it’s not, I’ll come back for more."

And with that, I walked off, leaving Lorenzo utterly confused.

I imagine he was thinking:

"Wait, do I owe her money?"
