Chapter 241: Do You Need Me to Prepare Anything for You?

Maid Heather couldn't help but chuckle. She placed the milk on the dining table and said, "Mrs. Firth, I didn't cook anything greasy today. It's all light and healthy."

Nancy looked at the table filled with boiled corn, boiled eggs, milk, cucumbers, and fruits. It was indeed a low-fat meal.

"Thank you, Maid Heather."

She happily walked over and took a bite of a cucumber.

Charlie sat down across from her, and Maid Heather immediately brought him a sandwich and fried eggs.

"Mrs. Firth, your meal is different from Young Master Firth's. Don't worry. I will pay attention to your diet."

Nancy nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Maid Heather."

Maid Heather waved her hand quickly. "Oh, don't thank me. It's my duty."

"It's more than just your duty."

Nancy said seriously while eating the cucumber, "In this world, no one is obliged to be good to another person. Even parents are not obliged to be good to their children. As human beings, we should be grateful and not let others' kindness go to waste."

As Maid Heather listened, her heart softened. Nancy was truly kind, and it was right for Charlie to choose her.

Charlie understood why Nancy had such thoughts. With a mother like Lily, she would cherish any kindness shown to her.

"Nan, you should eat more vegetables and fruits."

"Okay, thank you, honey."

Nancy took an apple and happily took a bite.

Seeing her eat happily, Charlie was also happy. His voice became gentle. "I will accompany you to Liverton in half a month. So, I will be very busy before we leave. I will try to come home before dinner. If I can't make it, I will let you know. Don't skip dinner, okay?"

"Uh..."

Nancy suddenly felt guilty. "If... If there's too much work at the company, you... you don't have to accompany me..."

"Of course I have to!"

Charlie firmly declared, "For my benefits, I must accompany you!"

Nancy didn't realize the meaning behind Charlie's mention of "benefits" at first. But when she understood, her face turned red in an instant. She glared at Charlie playfully and ran off with the apple.

"Alright, I got it. You're annoying!"

"Hehe..."

Charlie laughed softly as he watched her run away.

Maid Heather was curious. "Young Master Firth, what do you mean?"

Charlie's smile froze for a moment. He cleared his throat and said, "It's between me and Nancy."

"Oh!"

Maid Heather suddenly understood and nodded. As someone who had been through it herself, she winked at Charlie. "Do you need me to prepare anything for you?"

"Cough cough..."

This time, the milk really choked Charlie. Although he hadn't experienced it before, he knew what she meant...

He lost his mother at a young age, and Maid Heather took good care of him. In his heart, she was like his mother.

He motioned for Maid Heather to come closer. Maid Heather smiled and leaned in.

"Maid Heather, do I need to replenish my body right now? It's not that anything's wrong with me. I just don't want to leave her with a bad impression."
