Nancy looked up at the three judges. Seeing them in a daze, she smiled awkwardly and didn't interrupt them.
Charlie glanced at the three of them. "My wife has finished playing. Give some feedback!"
His tone was proud and domineering, which immediately caught the attention of the judges.
The judge in the middle pushed his glasses up his nose and smiled, "There's no need for feedback. She's passed!"
The other two judges nodded immediately, "We agree."
Charlie frowned at them, "Is this all? You promised to give feedback and to give some advice about my wife's performance. Why didn't you give it?"
"Well..."
The three judges were extremely embarrassed. It wasn't that they didn't want to give feedback, but... Nancy's skills were already on par with, or even surpassed, theirs. How could they provide feedback?
"Ahem..."
The judge on the left cleared his throat and tried to please Charlie, "Mr. Firth, Mrs. Firth's piano skills have far surpassed the level of this competition. To put it bluntly..."
He touched his nose and grinned, "It seems like Mrs. Firth participating in this competition is a bit unfair to others!"
The other two judges nodded, "Yes, that's what we think."
"Good."
Charlie sneered and ignored them. He stood up, walked up to Nancy, and reached out his hand.
Nancy looked up, smiled slightly, and placed her hand in his palm.
Charlie pulled her up and they walked towards the door together. After a few steps, Charlie suddenly stopped and turned back to look at them.
"Are you saying that my wife is older than other participants?"
The three judges were stunned.
That was not what they meant!
How could Charlie misunderstand them?
Shouldn't he focus on Nancy's good performance?
The judge in the middle immediately stood up, nodded, and grinned, "No, no, no, Mrs. Firth looks very young just like a college student. Mr. Firth, thank you for letting Mrs. Firth participate in our competition. It elevated our competition to a higher level!"
Satisfied, Charlie raised an eyebrow and walked out with Nancy.
Luna had been holding back her laughter and couldn't help but cover her mouth and laugh after they left the room. "Hahaha... That was hilarious!"
Nancy had also been holding back her laughter. When Luna laughed, she immediately joined in.
"Honey, you are so bad!"
Charlie justified himself while walking, "I'm not being bad. This is punishment for them bringing you here to take the exam!"
They deserved it for ruining his plans!
Nancy and Luna laughed for a while. This trip was worth it.
Charlie had a sharp tongue!
They walked out of the venue, and Charlie stopped and turned to Nancy. "Nan, do you want to take a taxi back?"
Nancy wasn't really tired and was about to answer when she suddenly saw a face in the back seat of a car parked by the roadside. It was the face she had been yearning to see for the past two months!
"Dad!"
Charlie frowned, "Nan, what did you say?"
However, Nancy didn't answer him but let go of his hand and ran towards the car, shouting, "Dad..."
