Charlie had never seen Noah in person and only in photos. But photos can be misleading, so he looked at Luna with a questioning gaze.
Luna nodded gently, confirming Nancy's statement.
Charlie let out a deep sigh.
He had been helping Nancy search for Noah for over two months, and he never would have expected to accidentally encounter him in Liverton.
What surprised him even more was that Noah heard Nancy's voice but completely ignored her. What could be the reason behind this?
As he was pondering, Nancy looked at him.
"Honey, I'm really sure he is my dad. Can you help me find him?"
Charlie's deep eyes met hers as he calmly analyzed, "Nan, that car is a Bentley Mulsanne. Although it's considered a luxury car, there are many wealthy people in Liverton who can afford it."
"Huh?"
Nancy was too anxious earlier to notice it. When she heard Charlie's words, her eyes widened.
"How... How is it possible..."
Shaking her head, she murmured, "My dad had amnesia and couldn't remember anything before he turned eighteen. He had no parents or siblings. How could he... sit in a luxury car?"
Luna could testify to this, "Yeah, Nan, your father used to be so poor. Why would he suddenly come to Liverton and sit in a luxury car? Could it be..."
Having spent many years in the entertainment industry and being a woman, Luna thought quickly and made bold speculations.
"Is it possible that your father woke up and remembered things before he turned eighteen so he came to Liverton to find his family?"
This kind of melodramatic plot only appeared in novels and TV dramas, but Luna seemed to have a good grasp of it. However, Nancy couldn't fully understand.
"What are you talking about, Luna? My dad..."
"It's very possible!"
Suddenly realizing something, Luna excitedly slapped her thigh.
"Oh my god! That explains everything!"
Charlie was also curious. "Luna, what are you trying to say?"
Thinking of that matter, Luna glanced at Nancy with guilt. With Charlie here, she was too afraid to speak up.
Seeing her hesitate to speak, Nancy grabbed her hands and nervously asked, "Luna, what do you want to say? Just say it. If you keep hesitating, I'll get even more anxious!"
Seeing Luna's guilty look, Charlie knew she had done something. He sneered, "Luna, just say it. I promise that neither Nan nor I will be mad at you."
Nancy vigorously nodded, "Yes, Luna, as long as you say it, I promise not to be angry."
"Well... then I'll say it."
Luna looked apprehensively at Charlie and mustered up her courage, "Well, one day Alexander suddenly messaged me at night, asking me for a photo of Vivian's father. I asked him why, and he just transferred me some money..."
Charlie's face darkened instantly. It was obvious that this was not good news.
"So, you gave it to him?"
