Chapter 258: I'm Not Like You

"Hmm?"

Nancy looked at Charlie in confusion, feeling that he and the Lesser family had a secret that she couldn't know.

But out of trust for Charlie, Nancy, although doubtful, didn't ask and nodded obediently, "Okay, I'll wait here."

"Hmm."

Charlie took a step closer to Nancy and gently kissed her forehead, "Nan, remember, wait for me here and don't leave with anyone."

Nancy became more puzzled and looked up at Charlie, but she couldn't see anything on Charlie's face.

"Okay, I got it. Don't worry. I'll definitely wait for you here and won't go with anyone else."

Charlie chuckled softly and caressed her face fondly, but as he turned around, the smile froze on his lips, and he walked into the yard indifferently.

The yard was large, and it took Charlie ten minutes to walk to the house. He saw a lady sitting inside as soon as he entered.

The lady looked young. If it weren't for her facial structure, which hinted at her aging, her skin alone made her look like a thirty-year-old woman.

Seeing Charlie, she stood up immediately and smiled, "Charlie, you finally agreed to see me!"

Charlie just glanced at her briefly, walked over, and sat down on the opposite solid wood chair. "I'm here, so you must fulfill what you promised."

"Alright."

Although Charlie's attitude was bad, the woman was extremely happy. She quickly pushed the fruits and nuts on the coffee table towards Charlie and personally poured a cup of tea for him.

"Are you thirsty? Have some tea."

Charlie lowered his head, looked at the cup of tea, and sneered, "I can't afford the Lesser family's tea. Eva, I'm not like you. I won't drink any kind of tea!"

He called the woman by her name, distancing himself from her directly.

Eva looked at him, her beautiful eyes shimmering with tears. But she forced herself not to cry in front of him.

"Charlie."

She took a deep breath, her lips twitching. She still looked at him gently despite his bad attitude.

"You came to Liverton but didn't come to see me. I wanted to see you. If it weren't for you wanting to bring Nancy to the Lesser family's mansion, I probably wouldn't have seen you."

As she said this, she wiped away her tears and continued to smile.

"We already know about Vivian and Nancy. Charlie, Nancy is not suitable for you. You should divorce her..."

"Impossible!"

Charlie's face darkened at once. He looked at Eva with cold eyes, "Nancy is my wife. I'll only marry once in my lifetime, and Nancy is the only wife I've got or ever will have!"

Eva became even more anxious, "No, Charlie, there are plenty of good girls in the world. With your status and position, you can have any girl you want."

Charlie interrupted her coldly, "Eva, I believe you understand love better than I do! Everyone wants to be with the person they love, don't they?"
