Chapter 265: They Had Experienced Everything

Nancy's eyes turned red in an instant. She felt so sorry for Charlie.

If she had known about this beforehand, she would never have let Charlie help her.

Old Mrs. Lesser saw all the expressions on Nancy's face and nodded with a smile, "Yes, if it weren't for Eva's contributions to the Lesser family over the years, we would never have agreed to let you come here today."

She smiled amiably, "After all, you and Vivian don't get along, and today is her wedding. If you were to make a scene, it would be a disgrace to the Lesser family."

"I won't."

Nancy took a deep breath and calmed herself down, "Even if I don't get to see my dad today, I won't cause trouble for the Lesser family. I respect his opinion."

Old Mrs. Lesser raised an eyebrow, "If Andrew doesn't want to see you, why did you come here to see him?"

Nancy calmly replied, "Because I just want to figure out why he is ignoring me. If he still doesn't want to acknowledge me after I tell him about what happened in the past, then I won't force it."

She suddenly remembered what the two girls had said to her earlier, so she added, "I want to see my dad not because he is now the son of the Lesser family, but simply because he is my dad. We have lived together for over twenty years, and after my parents divorced, we relied on each other. I just want to stay with him."

Unexpectedly, Old Mrs. Lesser and Old Master Lesser didn't show any disdain or disbelief at her words.

But it was understandable. After all, Old Mrs. Lesser and Old Master Lesser were nearly seventy years old, and they had experienced everything.

If Vivian had said these words, they would surely not believe it, but they were willing to believe Nancy.

Old Mrs. Lesser nodded and smiled, "Since you have lived with Andrew for so long, why don't you tell us how he has been all these years?"

"Alright."

Nancy recalled her memories and mostly talked about the warm and happy moments with Andrew and rarely mentioned their hardships.

Old Master Lesser and Old Mrs. Lesser were delighted as what Nancy said filled the void of Andrew's absence in their lives for over twenty years.

Seeing the two of them so happy, Nancy even put down the ice bag and waved her hand excitedly.

Time passed quickly, and suddenly, Old Mrs. Lesser's phone rang.

She glanced at the caller ID, gestured to Nancy to stop, and put the phone to her ear.

As she listened, she looked at Nancy in shock and asked with seriousness, "Are you sure?"

After a while, Old Mrs. Lesser nodded and said, "Thank you for letting me know," then hung up the phone.

She put the phone aside and turned to Old Master Lesser with mixed emotions.

But she quickly regained her composure and turned to look at Nancy, "Ms. Swinton, the results of the paternity test are out."
