So fast?!
Nancy's heart skipped a beat as she anxiously and seriously looked at Old Mrs. Lesser.
Old Mrs. Lesser looked at her with regret and said, "You are not Andrew's biological daughter. I am also sorry about this. Since you haven't passed the blood test, we can't let you see Andrew."
Nancy's mind suddenly went blank!
She couldn't even hear what Old Mrs. Lesser was saying.
Her father, whom she had relied on since childhood, was not her biological father?!
Nancy was totally stunned. She stared blankly at Old Mrs. Lesser, unable to react for a while.
Old Mrs. Lesser understood how Nancy was feeling and didn't urge her but waited quietly.
After a long time, Nancy said hesitantly, "But... Vivian and I are twins, and we look alike. If she is Dad's biological daughter, how can I not be?"
"Honey."
Old Mrs. Lesser said kindly, "Not everything can be explained clearly. Andrew has already forgotten what happened in the past twenty years. Even if you ask him, he won't remember. How about..."
Her voice was surprisingly gentle, "Go back and ask your mom. Perhaps she is the only one who knows the answer now."
Mom...
Lily?
Thinking about everything that had happened before, Nancy finally understood why Lily didn't like her and why Lily took Vivian instead of her after the divorce...
The little bit of resentment towards Lily in her heart vanished at this moment. She was not Lily's biological daughter, so how could she expect Lily to treat her like she treated Vivian?
"Hmm."
Nancy stood up calmly and bowed respectfully to Old Mrs. Lesser and Old Master Lesser, "Thank you for meeting me today and for letting me know all this. I'm leaving now."
Old Mrs. Lesser stood up and waved at Nancy, "I'm glad to have met you today."
Nancy nodded and turned to walk away.
Her mind was still blank, and she could barely stand on her feet.
Charlie leaned against the tree outside the yard and occasionally looked towards the gate. He had been waiting for five whole hours.
If it weren't for knowing that Old Mrs. Lesser and Old Master Lesser wouldn't bully Nancy and seeing a doctor leaving with a box just now, he would have rushed in long ago.
Eva stood not far from him calmly, but her gaze was filled with sadness as she looked at Charlie.
Finally, Nancy walked out of the yard, and Charlie immediately walked up quickly, "Nan..."
Seeing the confused look in Nancy's eyes, he asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
Nancy nodded stiffly and grabbed his hand nervously, "Honey, I want to go home."
Go home?
Charlie quickly understood what Nancy meant. She was referring to their villa in City Nustin.
"Okay, I'll take you home right now."
Charlie could feel that Nancy's hand was trembling. He tightly held onto it without hesitation and led Nancy away from the Lesser family's mansion.
Eva had initially wanted to say something to Charlie, but when she saw Charlie walk away without even looking at her, she didn't say anything.
Some things couldn't be forced!
