Chapter 267: Who Am I?

Charlie took Nancy directly to the airport. They caught the 5 o'clock PM flight and arrived in City Nustin at 7 o'clock PM.

At 8 o'clock PM, they finally arrived home.

Along the way, Nancy didn't eat, drink, or even say a word.

After returning home, she ran straight into her room, jumped onto the bed, and tightly wrapped herself in the blanket.

In her mind, all she could see was the scenes of her being with Noah. Those warm and sweet moments were like thorns piercing into her heart.

Charlie poured a glass of warm water and walked into her room. Seeing her curled up, he walked over, placed the glass on the bedside table, and gently tugged at the blanket.

"Nan, can you tell me what happened?"

Nancy blinked her eyes several times before raising her head and looking confusedly at him.

After a long time, she suddenly burst into tears, "Boo-hoo... Charlie, tell me, who am I?"

"Huh?"

Charlie was momentarily confused, but then he remembered the doctor who had left the Lesser family's mansion earlier today.

He asked in shock, "Nan, you took a paternity test? You're not your father's biological daughter?"

"Boo-hoo..."

Nancy had been trying to keep calm but had a breakdown at this moment.

She looked at Charlie like a stray dog, confused and pitiful. "I... I don't have a father anymore. Who... Who am I? Boo-hoo..."

"Nan..."

Charlie opened his arms and tightly embraced Nancy.

"Nan, listen to me, no matter who you are, you are my wife. Even if you don't have a father, you still have me. The Firth Family is your family. You are not alone. You still have us!"

"Boo-hoo... "

The emotional pain made Nancy cry in despair.

"I... I really didn't expect it, boo-hoo... I've lived for twenty-three years, and I've... I've become an orphan, boo-hoo... I'm an orphan. No one wants me..."

"That's not true."

Charlie softly comforted her, "He's not your biological father, but he's raised you for over twenty years. Who says only biological fathers are fathers? Isn't a foster father a father too? His goodness towards you and all the moments you've spent together won't just disappear because of a lack of blood relation. Nan, those who love you will always love you, regardless of external factors."

"Boo-hoo..."

Nancy's face was covered in tears. If it weren't for Charlie taking such good care of her during this period, she would probably have passed out from crying.

"But... But he has already forgotten everything that happened in these past twenty-something years. He forgot about me. I'm not his biological daughter. I don't have a father anymore. I really don't have a father anymore... Boo-hoo..."

It didn't work no matter how much Charlie tried to comfort her.

All he could do was hold her and patiently talk to her.

Perhaps because the blow was too great to bear, Nancy cried for a long time and eventually fell asleep in Charlie's arms, tears still streaming down her face...
