Twin sister?
Charlie pressed his lips, "And what about your biological father?"
"She didn't say."
Nancy maintained a calm expression and tone, "She only said that my mother is her twin sister, and she would never tell me who my father is, no matter what I ask."
Charlie raised an eyebrow and said softly, "It seems that only Andrew can tell you about your identity now."
"Yeah..."
Nancy gave a wry smile, "Unfortunately, he has forgotten about the past twenty years, and I'm afraid I won't be able to see him anymore. The Lesser family wouldn't allow it."
Charlie stayed silent, his eyes dim.
It seemed that some matters were about to be resolved.
In the following month, Nancy completed her graduation defense at school and successfully obtained her diploma.
Charlie was busy with work and often came home late at night, sometimes not until eleven or twelve at midnight.
Knowing that he had many things to handle at the company, Nancy didn't ask too much, but she waited for him to come home every day before going to sleep.
One day, Nancy was sitting in the living room as usual. There were freshly cut fruits and plenty of nuts and snacks on the table. She had just turned on the TV when the door suddenly opened.
She quickly stood up, walked towards the door, and helped Charlie take off his coat with a smile.
"You came back early today."
"Hehe..."
Charlie changed his shoes with a teasing smile, "Don't you like it when I come back early?"
"Of course I do!"
Nancy hung up his coat on the coat rack and then went to the kitchen to make a pot of tea. She poured a cup and handed it to Charlie, who was sitting on the sofa. "It's your favorite."
Charlie took a sip and smiled, "Your skills have gotten better. Even Maid Heather can't compare to you."
"I'm so flattered."
Nancy smiled and sat down next to him.
In the past month, Nancy had acted as if nothing had happened. But Charlie knew that she wasn't truly happy.
Placing his teacup on the coffee table, he suddenly spoke softly, "Nan, tidy up. We're going to Liverton the day after tomorrow."
"Huh?"
Nancy had just picked up a bag of snacks and hadn't opened it yet. Hearing his words, she turned her head in surprise, "Why are we going to Liverton?"
Charlie cleared his throat and said seriously, "Liverton is the most prosperous place in our country. Although the Firth Family can be considered a big shot in City Nustin, they are just an ordinary wealthy family in Liverton. There are countless wealthy people there. So, for the company's development, I plan to relocate it to Liverton. After all, no one will complain about having too much money."
Nancy's frown deepened as she listened. In the end, she pouted, "Speak in plain language!"
Charlie pressed his lips, realizing that he couldn't hide it from her. He turned to look at her seriously, "I don't want you to be bullied in the Lesser family's mansion again! I want to give you enough power so that no one can bully you!"
Nancy's heart suddenly trembled.
What Charlie said was so surprising and sweet like rain after a long drought.
He gave her the care and love she needed the most right now.
