Chapter 275: Why?

Nancy squatted down to help Emily pick up the jade beads. Hearing Emily sobbing, Nancy couldn't help but laugh softly.

"Ms. Wilson, I saw that the beads were strung on an elastic cord, which is not very sturdy. You can restring the beads."

This time, Vivian agreed with Nancy.

She was determined to buy the orchard and make it her own private property.

The experience with the Mirren Family had taught her a lesson.

She must hold onto her wealth tightly.

Although Andrew was her biological father, what if he died one day? She would definitely have a tough time in the Lesser family!

So, she had to plan for herself.

"Ms. Wilson, it's indeed not sturdy, and it has nothing to do with your husband. Just restring it and it will be fine," Vivian said.

Emily suddenly looked up with a glimmer of disgust in her eyes. She glared at Vivian fiercely.

Vivian felt a chill down her spine.

She pouted angrily, "Ms. Wilson, why are you looking at me like that? I'm saying the same thing as Nancy. Why are you glaring at me and not her?"

Emily stood up, pointed to the door, and said sternly, "Get out!"

"What?"

Vivian couldn't believe her ears. She stood up in anger. "You want me to leave? Why?"

Emily raised her chin and said decidedly, "Because this is my home! Leave!"

"I..."

Vivian wanted to say something, but seeing Emily's angry expression, she stomped her foot in frustration.

How was what she said any different from what Nancy said?

Why was she being chased out and not Nancy?

It made her so angry!

Vivian glared at Emily fiercely and sneered, "Fine, I'll leave. It's not like you are the only one selling land in Liverton!"

After saying that, she grabbed her bag and angrily walked towards the door. As she passed by Nancy, she lowered her head and sneered at her.

Nancy shook her head speechlessly and muttered, "How childish!"

Vivian immediately stopped in her tracks. "You..."

Emily shouted sternly, "Get lost!"

Vivian looked at Emily and then at Nancy. She gritted her teeth and could only swallow her anger.

After Vivian left, Emily sneered, "Shame on her! Does she think everyone has to pamper her? How stupid!"

Nancy smiled and continued to pick up the jade beads.

After picking them up, she held the jade beads in her hands and stood up. "Ms. Wilson, do you have any red thread?"

"Red thread?"

Emily thought for a moment and suddenly smiled. "Yes, my husband bought a lot when he passed away. They haven't been used up. Do you need it?"

"Yes."

Nancy lowered her head and looked at the jade beads with great fondness. "These jade beads are of very good quality. If they fall off again and get chipped, it would be a pity. I can make a bracelet and string the jade beads together. As long as you don't intentionally cut it with a knife, it won't break again."

"Really?!"

Emily was overjoyed and immediately asked the maid to fetch the red thread and bring the tools as well.

Nancy sat on the sofa and began to meticulously string the jade beads together in front of Emily.

"Ms. Wilson, since this is the last gift your husband gave you, I will make a love knot for you. Once you wear it, it won't fall off again."
