Andrew wanted to improve Old Mrs. Lesser and Old Master Lesser's impression of Vivian. He turned around and whispered to Old Mrs. Lesser, who was sitting next to him, "Mom, look, Vivi is very elegant."
Old Mrs. Lesser nodded but didn't say anything.
Having lived for so many years, she had a good nose for people. Vivian was clearly so arrogant.
She knew too well what Vivian was thinking.
Vivian was able to stand on this stage today thanks to Andrew. She wondered what Vivian was so proud of.
On the stage, after the host introduced her, Vivian walked to another piano. She exchanged glances with Zach, and as soon as he nodded at her, she placed her hands on the keys and closed her eyes.
As the music started playing, she collaborated with Zach and the band.
The audience listened attentively, and some began to whisper quietly.
"Why do I feel like Vivian is dragging Zach down?"
"Yeah, I noticed that too. When Zach was playing solo earlier, he didn't seem as hesitant. It feels like he's unable to fully express himself."
"Yeah, it seems that there's still quite a gap between our country's pianists and top-notch pianists in the world."
Even Andrew frowned lightly as he listened to Vivian and Zach play.
He understood why Zach tried to refuse him before. Vivian was fine playing solo, but when she played with Zach, her shortcomings were exposed.
At that moment, because of Vivian, he felt a bit ashamed.
Fortunately, the performance wasn't too long, and after Vivian finished playing, there was only sparse applause from the audience.
Old Mrs. Lesser and Old Master Lesser didn't applaud. Although they didn't support Andrew pursuing art before, they had a deep appreciation for high-level music.
Vivian's performance was not enough to impress them.
Charlie, Nancy, and Luna certainly wouldn't applaud her either.
They didn't really get along, and Vivian's performance was mediocre, so why should they applaud?
Nancy guessed that if she clapped, others would think she was booing.
Vivian looked a bit embarrassed as she glanced down at the audience. After the performance, she had no choice but to leave the stage.
Just as Vivian was about to step down, suddenly, Zach's excited voice came through the speakers.
"Thank you all for coming to my concert. Those who are familiar with me know that during my global tour, I only invite one local pianist to perform with me on stage at each stop, but I'll make an exception this time!"
Vivian froze and turned around, extremely astonished.
Zach was so thrilled that he even walked to the front of the stage with the microphone.
"I have encountered a highly talented pianist here, and her piano playing has deeply captivated me. I was moved by her music."
The audience held their breath and listened intently, eager to see who could receive such high praise from Zach.
At that moment, the spotlight hit Nancy, and the audience turned their heads to look at her.
Zach said excitedly, "Yes, she is Nancy Swinton. Now, let's welcome her to the stage with enthusiastic applause and embark on a wondrous musical journey together!"
