Chapter 315: Is He Dead?

Andrew shook his head, but there was still a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

"No, I haven't remembered anything from the past twenty years, but looking at you closely, I feel like we are close."

Nancy felt a bit disappointed, thinking that Andrew had remembered her.

Nevertheless, even though he hadn't remembered, the fact that their relationship could be better made her happy.

"It's alright."

Nancy shook her head, "Then I'll still call you Young Master Lesser."

"That's fine."

Andrew looked at Nancy and a faint smile unconsciously appeared on his lips, "Nan, there's something I don't understand. Can you explain it to me?"

Nancy blinked her eyes curiously and asked, "What is it?"

Andrew pursed his lips and said slowly, "I can tell that you've learned from me to play the piano."

Nancy nodded, "Yes, since I was very young, you've been teaching me to play the piano."

"Well, if that's the case..." Andrew frowned slightly, "then why did you say that we were very poor before? Since I can play the piano, it should've been easy for me to find a good job..."

"Yes."

Nancy said directly, "In my memory, you used to run a small piano school, and you had a few students. You taught them and supervised their piano studies."

Her eyes suddenly went dim, and even her voice became melancholy.

"But you were very strict and scolded a child one day. Then you told his mother that he must practice the piano for two hours every day at home. The child couldn't handle your scolding and his mother's supervision, so he jumped off a building."

Andrew's eyes widened in shock. He gripped the armrests of his wheelchair tightly, leaned forward, and asked in disbelief, "Is he dead?"

"Yes!"

Nancy bit her lip and said with sadness, "He died, so his mother caused a commotion and even contacted the education bureau. Then you were blacklisted, unable to teach piano anymore, and you had to give all the savings to that child's mother."

Although he didn't personally kill the child, Andrew still felt very unsettled upon hearing this.

Old Mrs. Lesser lightly placed her hand on his shoulder and gave it a squeeze.

Andrew took a deep breath and forced a smile, "So, I couldn't earn much money anymore, right?"

"Yes."

Nancy sighed, "We used to be relatively well-off, but after all the money was given away, life became very difficult. That's why Lily couldn't bear it and divorced you."

"Humph!"

Old Mrs. Lesser coldly snorted, "That greedy woman is not worthy of you!"

Nancy didn't want to talk about these unhappy things anymore. Suddenly, she thought of something, and her eyes lit up.

"Young Master Lesser, you might not remember, but later on, you adopted a child named Henry. He is doing very well academically. When you went missing before, he was very worried. Could you please give him a call, just to let him know that you are safe?"

Seeing Andrew's confused expression when he heard the name, Nancy realized that she was asking for too much and quickly said, "Actually, you don't need to call him. I'll tell him..."
