Zach immediately blushed and gave Andrew a glare.
"So what if I am? My whole life has been devoted to piano. I never had time to take on apprentices. Many people mock me for having great skills but being unable to teach others. When I'm gone, I won't even have a successor..."
He glanced expectantly at Nancy and said, "Nan, your piano skills are already quite advanced. Although you still have a way to go compared to us, I believe that after this training, you will be able to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us. This is an opportunity. Give me and yourself a chance."
"Humph..."
Andrew sneered again, "Zach, with your current status in the piano world, you could definitely become a mentor. Why bother taking Nan as your apprentice and bringing her to the training? That would lower your status quite a bit..."
"I said it!"
Zach was truly angry this time. He said through gritted teeth, "I just want Nan to be my successor. In this training, I will teach her everything I know!"
Andrew disdainfully raised an eyebrow, "Her skills are not much worse than yours. What can you teach her?"
"Hey!"
Zach placed his hands on his hips, glaring at Andrew angrily, "Andrew! What do you mean?! I take on an apprentice, and you're here to undermine me. Is that fun for you? Shouldn't you be supporting me?"
Andrew raised his eyes calmly, stared at Zach coldly, and said seriously, "Because Nan is my apprentice!"
"What?!"
Zach, Nancy, Charlie, Old Mrs. Lesser, and Old Master Lesser were all stunned.
Since when did Nancy become Zach's apprentice?
Under their shocked gaze, Andrew smiled arrogantly and said slowly, "I was the one who introduced Nan to the piano. I taught her everything. Her achievements are all thanks to me. The tree I nurtured for over 20 years is going to bloom and bear fruit. Why should I give it to you?"
Zach had asked Nancy about this before, and it was indeed Andrew who had taught her.
But Nancy said she had not considered Andrew her master.
At the concert, he could tell that Andrew didn't care much about Nancy but seemed more concerned about Vivian. So why was Andrew competing with him now?
Zach felt a bit embarrassed, "Andrew, what you said makes sense, but for this training, the teacher and student need to go together. Can you..."
His gaze fell on Andrew's legs. "Can you handle it?"
"What do you think?"
Andrew placed his hands on the wheelchair's armrests and slowly stood up under everyone's watching eyes.
He had stood up by himself at the theater before, so it wasn't very shocking for him to stand up again. But as his feet firmly landed on the ground, he looked so determined as if he could walk like a normal person in a short time.
He firmly patted his own legs and suddenly yelled, "My legs are only weakened because I've been lying in bed for four years. My muscles have atrophied, but I'm not disabled!"
