"Ah..."
The adhesive of the tape caused Vivian's mouth to almost tear, leaving the area around her lips red.
"It hurts, it hurts so much..."
Vivian, with her mouth open, gasped for air, taking a while to ease the pain.
The man looked at her playfully. Her lips, already rosy, were now slightly swollen from his pull, taking on a distressed beauty that made his throat unconsciously roll.
As the pain subsided, Vivian raised her head and asked in terror, "You just mentioned Charlie? What Charlie? Why have you kidnapped me?"
The man watched her swollen lips moving, feeling excited in every cell of his body.
"Hehe, little beauty, blame your husband Charlie. He forced us brothers into a corner, leaving us with no livelihood. Since he took our bread and butter, we're taking his wife. It's only fair..."
"I... I..."
Vivian was so furious she could barely complete a sentence!
She never expected that her misfortune was because she resembled Nancy and was mistaken by this man for Nancy, leading to her abduction.
"I'm not Nancy! I'm not Charlie's wife, my name is Vivian, you've got the wrong person!"
"Got the wrong person?"
The man frowned, pinching Vivian's face, looking her over, and sneered, "Stop struggling, girl. We'll release you when Charlie Firth pays..."
"I told you, you've got the wrong person, I'm not Charlie's wife!"
Vivian, frustrated and unable to move, saw the man's disbelief and tried desperately to explain.
"My name is Vivian, I look a lot like Charlie's wife. If you don't believe me, you can check on Henriana Internet , but you need to access the Henriana Internet. I'm really not Nancy! I have no relation to Charlie!"
She didn't think Charlie would pay her ransom. Considering her relationship with Nancy, if she were kidnapped, Nancy would probably be secretly happy, and certainly wouldn't bother Charlie about her fate.
Now, she could only offer Nancy in exchange for her safety.
The man, hearing her earnest words, became momentarily bewildered, "You're not Charlie's wife?"
Vivian nodded vigorously, "No, really not! Capturing me is useless, Charlie will definitely not pay my ransom. And I know where Nancy is. If you release me, I will bring Nancy to you. How about that? It's better than capturing me and getting nothing, right?"
"This..."
The man was undecided, unsure if what Vivian said was true.
He glanced at Vivian, certain that even if he left, she couldn't escape, and then turned and walked out of the dark room.
Outside, in an open area of the factory, a few tables were set up with about ten people playing cards around them.
The man rushed over, "Big brother, there's a problem."
The man referred to as big brother, leaning back in his chair with legs propped up on a stool, growled upon seeing him, "Why aren't you inside watching her? What are you doing out here?"
The man, sweating profusely, replied, "Big brother, the woman woke up. She says she's not Charlie's wife, that we've got the wrong person!"
