Chapter 357: How Did You Know Their Destination Was the Hotel?

Back in the room, Nancy placed her laptop on the table, with Andrew and Alexander standing behind her.

Their eyes were fixed on the laptop screen. Alexander, either genuinely too concerned about Vivian or for some other reason, had his hand on the back of Nancy's chair, his upper body almost leaning over Nancy from behind.

Charlie, just returning with two bottles of water, saw Alexander’s posture, resembling as if he was embracing Nancy from behind. His expression darkened. He handed a bottle to Andrew and then grabbed Alexander by the collar, pulling him away.

"Hey… what are you doing?"

Alexander glared at Charlie, but Charlie just coldly glanced at him and assertively took his place behind Nancy. He then opened the bottle and handed it to Nancy.

"Thank you."

Nancy thanked him and took a sip of water. She hadn’t noticed the brief scuffle and therefore didn’t feel embarrassed.

"Honey, Master, they have started moving, and it looks like they are heading towards the hotel…" Nancy observed.

Saying this, she handed the water back to Charlie, who screwed the cap back on.

"Based on their speed, they should be here in about twenty minutes."

Andrew nodded but was curious, "How did you know their destination was the hotel?"

"About this..."

Nancy, a bit embarrassed, smiled and touched her nose.

"I guessed. Considering my relationship with Vivian, she probably told those people they got the wrong person and redirected them to me…"

This made Andrew a bit uncomfortable.

The relationship between Nancy and Vivian was known to everyone. Anyone with a bit of sense would guess that Vivian, in a dangerous situation and knowing the kidnappers had the wrong person, would surely expose Nancy.

It was very much in line with Vivian’s character.

Seeing Andrew’s silence, Nancy shook her head with a smile. "Actually, it's nothing serious. On our way here, we saw them coming. After observing their direction for a few minutes and seeing they were heading towards the city, my husband concluded they were likely coming to the hotel."

Charlie raised his hand, gently stroking Nancy's soft black hair, and chuckled softly. "The main reason is that we understand Vivian very well. Not only would she not hide Nan’s location, but she might even take advantage of Nan's situation. So, we guessed that Vivian would likely be in that car."

Andrew's eyes widened in shock, "You mean…"

"Yes,"

Charlie stated bluntly, not sparing Vivian any face, and shared his speculation.

"Vivian must have told the kidnappers she could trick Nan into coming to them. That's why they are eagerly heading towards the hotel this late at night, thinking they can exchange Nan for Vivian's freedom and safety."

Alexander heard this and let out a cold laugh, but he didn't contradict Charlie.

Andrew's face showed discomfort, after all, Vivian was his daughter.

"I think... Vivian wouldn’t do such a thing. Although she is a bit arrogant and jealous, she wouldn't resort to such extreme and harmful actions..."
