Chapter 365: Even Dying in My Place Would Be Her Duty

With a cruel laugh, Vivian said, "Heh, it's not just about blocking a knife for me. Even dying in my place would be her duty!"

"You!"

Andrew closed his eyes in disappointment. At that moment, any affection he felt for Vivian due to their blood relation vanished.

He finally understood that Samuel Mirren wasn't bad to Vivian; no matter what Samuel did, Vivian would interpret it through a lens of selfishness.

Vivian was excessively selfish.

In her mind, everyone owed her kindness, and any deviation from her wishes would negate all past kindness.

Such a person was terrifying.

Because even if you gave her your heart, she wouldn’t cherish it.

Alexander Caine's eyes brimmed with disdain for Vivian.

"Vivian Lesser!"

He didn’t call her 'Vivi' this time, feeling even that was too good for her.

"If you hadn’t wandered off on your own, would you have been kidnapped? Charlie had already warned us that during this trip to Taurus, apart from the two agents, everyone must stay together. Taurus is full of dangers, and even tourists can face unexpected risks!"

As he spoke, his body trembled with anger.

"Even Linda brought four bodyguards and never left the group. But you, you ignored Charlie's warning, did whatever you wanted, and got kidnapped! Heh, that's your own fault! What does it have to do with Nan!?"

Vivian retorted defiantly, "What? Can’t I have a bit of personal freedom? Who is Charlie? Your father or mother? You listen to him so obediently. Alexander, let me tell you, I, Vivian, will do whatever I want, and none of you can control me!"

Andrew's eyes remained closed, his lips curving into a desolate smile as he shook his head in despair. "A father's mistake for not teaching his child... a father's mistake..."

Charlie, holding Nancy's hand and wrapping his other arm around her shoulder, glanced at Vivian indifferently. "Fine! Vivian, from today on, I, Charlie, will not interfere in any of your affairs! Whether you get kidnapped or killed, it has nothing to do with me!"

Turning to Andrew, his voice was cold and eyes dark, "From now on, I won't give you any respect, and if Vivian dies, don’t come to me for help with her funeral."

"Honey..."

Nancy looked at him worriedly, biting her lip lightly. "You..."

"Nan!"

Even facing Nancy, Charlie was resolute. "I always stand by my words. I won't allow you to get involved in Vivian's affairs either."

With that, his gaze softened, and he guided Nancy towards the Rolls-Royce parked nearby. "Let’s go. I'll take you to the hospital."

Alexander cast a sidelong glance at Vivian, scoffed, and, without another word, followed Charlie and Nancy to the car.
