Chapter 367: You Couldn't Let Me Starve, Could You?

“Elimination round!?”

Luna shouted in annoyance. “Look at your hand, what state is it in? Do you seriously think you can play the piano with your hand wrapped up like that?”

Noticing Nancy pouting, Luna realized she might have been too harsh and softened her tone.

“Nan, let it be. There will be more opportunities in the future. You need to heal your hand first for a future in music.”

Nancy shook her head in frustration. “No, Luna, didn't you sign me to make money? I haven't earned you any significant amount yet, and now there's a chance to make a name for myself, I can't miss it.”

“It's not about money!”

Luna was genuinely upset. “Yes, I signed you initially because your talent far exceeded Vivian's, making it easier to earn more. But now, Mr. Firth is my boss, and you are my boss’s wife. Even if you don't work for three years, you couldn't let me starve, could you?”

Her words brought a reluctant smile to Charlie's usually stern face.

Luna was now indeed fearless.

Luna smiled at him with confidence.

Linda agreed with Luna.

“Nancy, with your hand in that condition, it’s better not to participate in the training camp. Go home and heal. There will be plenty more opportunities. I believe in your abilities. One day, you will stand at the pinnacle of the piano world!”

"Well..."

Alexander scoffed sarcastically, “Linda, she's not aspiring to be at the pinnacle of the piano world right now. She's risen to national pride. She says she wants to fight for the honor of all Henriana pianists, so they won't be looked down upon in the future.”

His tone might have been ironic, but everyone knew he wasn't mocking Nancy but was worried for her.

Linda planted her hands on her hips, staring fiercely at Nancy. “Do you think I can't achieve that? Nancy, just stay put. I promise to win first place in the final competition of the training camp!”

Nancy tapped Linda's shoulder gently with her bandaged hand, smiling brightly. “Of course, I believe you can do it!”

Seeing Nancy’s happy expression, Linda was happy and wanted to say more. But she saw Nancy's enthusiasm deflated...

“Actually…”

Nancy's voice was low and forlorn. “Apart from what I've mentioned, there's another important reason why I'm insisting on participating in the training camp.”

Everyone's eyes turned towards her, waiting in silence for her to continue.

Nancy looked at Andrew, her amber eyes shimmering.

“Master was once the most talented and excellent pianist in our country, but due to an accident…”

She sniffled softly. “I know his greatest wish was to stand at the pinnacle of the piano world. He was so brilliant and spirited, but now... I've noticed that there aren't many who remember Master anymore.”

“The training camp is attended by young pianists along with Master. I want to use this opportunity to let everyone know that Andrew has never left the piano world! He once swept away all pianists of his age, and now, his disciple can still do the same!”
