Nancy, of course, knew this principle. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her tense emotions as much as possible.
"I will, and when it's your turn, you need to give it your all too!"
Contestant number 77 smiled, made an encouraging gesture to Nancy, and then entered the venue's main door.
It was almost Nancy's turn. She raised her right hand to pat her chest and then looked at her left hand, a flash of determination shining in her eyes!
This time, no matter what, she had to get through the elimination round and into the training camp!
"Contestant number 78!"
Suddenly, a staff member at the door called out, and Nancy hurried over.
The staff member had already received a notification from above. This contestant number 78 was a big deal; even the local contestants were directly sent away by her. How could he dare to give Nancy a hard time?
The usually indifferent staff member suddenly smiled obsequiously at Nancy and gestured for her to follow him.
"You're in examination room number two, please come this way."
The main door wasn't far from the examination room, just a three-minute walk, and Nancy was led to the door.
Unlike other contestants who would take a few deep breaths at the door, she stepped in firmly.
In the center of the room was a piano, with two judges sitting in front, their expressions cold and indifferent, seemingly numb to the constant stream of contestants.
"You have one minute, begin!"
Nancy politely bowed to them, then sat down in front of the piano.
Looking at her left hand, her already bright amber eyes sparkled even more.
When her fingers touched the piano keys, the two judges, who had their eyes closed, numbly waiting to listen to the music, suddenly opened their eyes at the same time.
Nancy entered the zone in just a second, her fingers moving fluently and quickly dancing on the piano keys.
The judges watched her intently, their emotions being stirred as well.
Especially when they saw Nancy's eyes redden and tears almost fall, they were also moved, their eyes turning red in an instant. One of the judges even felt a heart-wrenching pain, clutching the table in front of him tightly.
One minute was short, but for Nancy, it was too long. She still underestimated the pain of ten fingers being connected to the heart!
Finally, she heard the timer, the signal that time was up. She pressed down hard on the piano keys, ending the minute-long agony.
The music abruptly stopped, and the judges frowned in dissatisfaction.
"Young lady, although the competition is limited to one minute, we didn't say stop. Why did you stop on your own?"
Nancy stood up and bowed politely to the judges again, her tone neither servile nor overbearing, "You told me the rule was one minute, so when I heard the time-up signal, I naturally stopped."
The judge on the left looked at Nancy with interest, wiping away the tears that had just rolled down, and his face showed a kind smile, "You're not bad. You entered the mood quickly and played with great passion, completely overturning my initial impression of this piece."
The other judge smiled and nodded, "From yesterday to today, we've been numb from listening, but finally, there's someone who's refreshing, hahaha..."
The judge on the left raised his hand to stop his colleague, looking at Nancy with a gentle smile, "I'll give you another minute, change the piece. If you can perform as well, I'll give you a direct pass card."
