"Hmm?"
Andrew and Patrick spoke in unison, "Let me have a look."
Charlie chuckled softly, stood up, and took out his laptop. He then opened his email and clicked on the message.
The email had two attachments, each named after one of the judges.
"Nan was actually in Venue B."
Linda exclaimed in surprise, shaking her head. "The judges in Venue B are said to be quite twisted. One is a sadistic maniac, and the other is a smiling tiger, neither of them easy to deal with."
As she finished speaking, she caught Patrick's stern glance and immediately covered her mouth, smiling apologetically like a child who had done something wrong.
Andrew, who had lost over twenty years of memory, still had some recollection of these judges who were over a decade older and long-established.
"These two are now veterans in the piano world, aren't they?"
"Yes."
Patrick nodded, pointing to one of the attachments on the screen. "Let's open Hamya's first."
Following his suggestion, Charlie clicked open Hamya's file.
Patrick read from top to bottom, laughing helplessly, "Indeed, this is quite detailed, even includes when he got married and when he had children, hahaha..."
Linda pursed her lips, holding Nancy Swinton's arm. Whispering in her ear, careful not to be overheard by her teacher, she said, "Nan, you mustn't choose Hamya."
Curious, Nancy looked at her, "Is he the sadistic maniac or the smiling tiger?"
"Heh."
Linda scoffed, "He's the sadistic maniac! Let me tell you, not many of his students can stand him. He demands at least four hours of practice instead of the usual two!"
Four hours?
Nancy's eyes widened in shock. Wouldn't her hands be ruined at this rate?
Even though Linda spoke softly, her teacher still overheard.
"Linda, strict teachers produce outstanding students. Though Hamya is strict, every one of his students is a leading figure in the piano world. Out of the top hundred pianists, ten are his students!"
"Amazing!"
Nancy's amber eyes lit up excitedly, "Then his training methods must be incredible, right?"
"Not exactly."
Patrick laughed heartily, "He always adheres to the principle of the early bird getting the worm. Anyone with a bit of talent, after a few years of diligent practice under him, would find it hard not to succeed."
Instead of having Charlie open the other judge's file, he said directly, "Nan, my advice is to choose David."
David was the other judge.
The smiling tiger in Linda's words.
After pondering for a moment, Andrew agreed, "Nan, David is more suitable for you. Apart from his profound piano skills, he is particularly protective. If he likes you, no one can bully you."
"Well."
Nancy laughed happily, "I love protective people the most, then I'll choose him!"
Patrick and Andrew were taken aback. Neither had expected that just after their suggestion, Nancy would choose David without even reviewing his file.
