Chapter 385: It Was You Who Asked for a Divorce!

The usually indifferent eyes of Alexander suddenly lit up with unhidden joy, leaving Vivian dumbfounded.

"Alright! I'll grant your wish. Let's get divorced."

"You!"

Vivian's eyes widened in disbelief. She thought her suggestion of divorce would frighten Alexander and make him beg her, but the joy in his eyes hit her like a blow, infuriating her to the point of wanting to strangle him.

"Alexander! Are you really going to divorce me? You’re not yet the heir of the Caine family, you still need the Lesser family..."

"It's fine."

Alexander's lips curled up into a pleased smile. "Some things can't be forced. I was wrong before, thinking that sacrificing my happiness for a lifetime of glory and wealth was worth it. But when I saw Charlie and Nancy together, so happy and joyful, I realized my mistake."

He looked at Vivian with a distant gaze, as if seeing another face through her.

"Some things are more important than money and power. If I can’t earn the Jiang family's status with my own ability, would I be happy even if I got it?"

He shook his head. "No! So, I agree to the divorce. I want to see how far I can go on my own."

Vivian sat down on the floor in shock.

Now, with her grandparents and father disliking her and her father growing closer to Nancy, Alexander was her only reliance.

Staring at Alexander, watching his smiling face, her heart sank...

Was she being abandoned by the world again?

She remembered how, during her most difficult and desperate times, it was Alexander who brought her hope. But now, he too was abandoning her...

"No... no..."

She mumbled 'no' repeatedly, tears rolling down as she looked at Alexander's handsome face.

"I won't divorce! I don’t agree to a divorce, Alexander, you can’t abandon me!"

Alexander frowned, suddenly sitting up from the sofa, "Vivian! It was you who asked for a divorce!"

"Yes!"

Vivian stood up defiantly, screaming hysterically, "But I don’t want to divorce you, and I won't let you! You approached me first, I don’t care, I don't agree to a divorce, you can’t leave!"

After saying that, she turned and ran into the room, slamming the door shut and crying on the bed...

Frustrated, Alexander punched the wall next to him. If only he hadn't said so much, it was all because he got too excited!

On the third day, the final list of those who qualified for the training camp was released. Although Linda didn’t get a direct pass card, she still qualified with a high score.

Vivian, whether due to luck or an outstanding performance in the elimination round, barely made it as the hundredth qualifier.

By the time the training camp officially started, Nancy's left hand had mostly healed.

"Ah, Linda, I'm almost fully healed, you don't have to support me anymore, or else people might think I'm disabled."

While walking, Linda carefully supported Nancy's left hand. "Nan, your hand hasn't fully recovered yet. Your husband specifically asked me to take good care of you. By the way, I heard that only two of the four judges gave out direct pass cards. Besides you, there's another one from our examination room, and they’re said to be very impressive!"
