Chapter 388: Do You Have Plans Tonight?

After a while, the host and the four judges responsible for the training camp arrived.

As soon as the five of them entered, the previously noisy room immediately quieted down.

The judges stood on either side of the host. While the other three judges appeared more reserved, David's gaze was unmistakably fixed on Nancy.

Seeing that Nancy was also looking at him, he suddenly gave her a kind smile, which looked incredibly affectionate to others, but to Nancy, it felt like an encouragement from David.

Nancy smiled back, then suddenly, in front of David, grabbed Linda's arm, her eyes slightly pleading.

David was momentarily taken aback, then he looked at Linda for a couple of seconds before gently nodding at Nancy.

Nancy's face lit up with joy, and she beamed a sweet smile at David.

Most of the people in the room saw Nancy and David exchanging glances. Vivian, who had been watching them, clenched her lips tightly, a glint of jealousy flashing in her eyes.

After the host said a few words, the four judges started selecting their team members in turn.

David was the first one to choose.

In fact, each judge had a sheet in hand that listed the scores of each contestant from the elimination round.

David didn’t even glance at his sheet; his eyes directly landed on Linda. “Girl, what’s your name?” he asked.

Linda was overjoyed, almost jumping on the spot. Thankfully, Nancy held her back, preventing her from getting too excited.

“Sir, I’m Linda!” Linda said enthusiastically.

“Good.”

David nodded in satisfaction. “You’re in.”

“Hahaha…”

Linda was so happy that she threw herself into Nancy's arms. “Nan, we finally get to be together!”

Nancy was also very happy. She had previously heard from Andrew and Patrick about how protective David was, and she was curious about the extent of his protectiveness.

That’s why she dared to signal David with her eyes to pick Linda, and to her surprise, he actually did.

Nancy’s fondness for the protective David grew more.

The hundred contestants were finally divided into four groups. Since David and another judge had given out direct passes, they selected one less member each, which left Nancy and Alice out of the selection process.

Only after the groups were formed did Nancy express her surprise to Linda, whispering, "She’s the one who got the other direct pass?"

Linda pouted slightly. "Yeah, no one chose her, so obviously…"

As they were speaking, David walked over to them. David walked to Nancy's side, while the other judge stood beside Alice.

David bent down and whispered to Nancy, "The grouping is done, they’ll leave soon. How about you? Do you have plans tonight?"

Nancy, curious about his mysterious manner, asked, "Sir, is there something?"

"Yes."

David coughed softly and lowered his voice even more. "Tonight, the organizers are hosting a dinner for a big shot and have invited us four judges. It’s a rare opportunity, and I want to take you with me."
