Chapter 400: When Did We Offend All of Them?

Although the wound on Nancy's left hand had scabbed over and looked ready to fall off, she insisted on applying medicine every day.

Since it was inconvenient for her to do it alone, Linda helped her. As a result, they arrived at the training camp later than others.

As soon as they entered, they felt something was off. The way people looked at them was different, and unlike yesterday when everyone was in pairs, today, they all gathered together, including members of Nancy's own group.

Just a few steps in, Nancy and Linda realized a problem: they seemed to be isolated by everyone else.

"What's going on?"

Linda, supporting Nancy's left hand, looked around at the people as they walked.

When she looked their way, those people didn't even avoid her gaze, openly showing looks of disdain.

"Nan..."

Linda was confused, "When did we manage to offend all of them?"

Nancy, astute as ever, just coldly smiled, "Perhaps the incident from last night is now known to everyone?"

"Last night's incident?"

Linda quickly caught on, her cute doll-like face scrunching up in confusion, "What about last night? So what if your husband, Mr. Firth, didn't show them any attention and was affectionate towards you? Isn't he your husband... Are they sick or something?"

Nancy shook her head helplessly, "There's no helping it. There are many in this world who can't stand to see others doing well. If they can't get something, they like to speculate maliciously. That's just how it is."

"Hmph!"

Linda's gaze fell on Vivian's face in the crowd. Seeing the smug look on Vivian's face, she was so angry she could grind her teeth.

"It must be Vivian bad-mouthing you. Otherwise, just because of what happened last night, we wouldn't be isolated by everyone."

Nancy wasn't one to maliciously speculate about others, but she clearly felt Vivian's provocative gaze, even sensing a schadenfreude vibe from her. She even sensed Vivian feeling a subtle thrill of having outdone her.

"Let it be."

She patted Linda's hand, "We just need to crush them with our skills. Let them say what they want. What can they do? Make me lose a piece of flesh?"

Linda, who was fearless and never afraid to offend anyone, could only resentfully glare at the others.

Supporting Nancy, she sat down in a corner.

Soon, the host arrived and started explaining the rules.

"Starting today, you have seven days of training. After these seven days, your progress will be evaluated. Since the number of participants has decreased, we've decided that each of you will have two minutes to perform. Of course, you can perform solo or as a duo. If you choose to perform as a duo, the performance time will be five minutes."

Everyone was surprised by this announcement.

Honestly, performing in a duo did grant more time than solo performances, but they were unsure of others' skills and hesitant to hastily form teams. Choosing the wrong partner could be disastrous.

Seeing their surprised faces, the host smiled, "Moreover, if you choose to perform as a duo, it must be with someone from your own group. Alright, the practice rooms are over there, with a total of fifty-four pianos. You can now enter your respective practice rooms by group."
