While everyone was puzzling over the rules, Linda flashed a flattering smile and gazed intently at Nancy.
Nancy, unnerved by her look, smiled helplessly, "Linda, just say what you want, don't look at me like that with a smile, it's kind of scary..."
"Hehe..."
Linda, linking arms with Nancy, grinned mischievously, "Nan, let's pair up. I promise my skills won't drag you down. And we get five minutes together, one minute more than if we performed separately."
What could be shown in just two minutes?
Unless extraordinarily strong and quick to adapt, it would be hard to showcase all one's skills in such a short time.
But five minutes was different. As experienced players, it gave them a better chance to show off their skills.
Nancy looked at her and smiled, "Good, I was thinking the same."
"Ha ha ha..."
Linda, delighted, immediately led Nancy towards the practice room.
There were fifty-four practice rooms in total, each with a piano, already assigned to groups. So, Nancy and Linda just needed to find an empty room in their group's area.
However, after searching, they found each room occupied – everyone wanted to utilize this time for extra practice.
Sighing, Nancy pointed towards a bench in the corridor, "Let's wait over there for a bit."
"Okay, good."
Linda helped Nancy to the bench, and they waited quietly.
This was the situation not just for them but for other groups as well.
With fifty-four rooms and eighteen per group, and only twenty-five members in each group, most rooms had only one person.
Nancy and Linda ended up waiting outside a solo player's room, but even after one hour, then two, nobody came out!
Linda couldn't wait any longer.
She took Nancy's hand and walked towards the room opposite them, where she knew only one person was inside.
Upon entering, they indeed saw someone sitting by the piano, engrossed in her phone.
Frowning, Linda was about to speak but was stopped by Nancy.
Linda pursed her lips, knowing she was rash, and let Nancy take the lead.
Nancy approached, smiled politely, and asked, "Are you tired? Why don't you take a break and let us practice for a while?"
The girl had seen them from the corner of her eye when they entered, but as Nancy spoke, she acted as if she hadn't heard and continued with her phone.
Nancy sighed and asked again, but the girl still pretended not to hear.
Linda, unable to contain her temper, shouted, "Hey! Are you deaf? Can't you hear?"
Finally, the girl looked up, her attitude extremely rude, "If I don't answer, it means I don't want to! What are you going to do, kick me out?"
"Hey! You damn..."
Linda said, reaching out towards the girl, but Nancy quickly held her back.
However, Nancy's expression was also dark, "We naturally won't force you out, but we can report to the organizers and the instructors that you're hogging the room, preferring to play on your phone rather than letting other group members practice."
