These people were pianists of repute in their own countries, and being likened to street gangsters by Linda seriously offended them.
Some were ready to physically confront Linda and Nancy, but were stopped by Riva, who was at the forefront.
"Riva, why are you stopping us? They're so arrogant, shouldn't we show them a lesson?" one of them demanded.
Riva glared at the speaker and coldly responded, "If we really hit them, wouldn’t that just prove we are like the bullies they’re describing?"
The girl sulked but continued glaring at Nancy and Linda.
Riva pulled the girl who initially clashed with Nancy and Linda behind her and faced Nancy and Linda herself.
"Nancy, it’s not just Yvonne targeting you, but no matter which practice room you enter, we won’t give it up for you."
Nancy coldly smiled, remaining silent.
She had anticipated this response.
Riva, unfazed by Nancy’s reaction, said earnestly, "Nancy, if one person doesn’t like you, it might be just a personal clash. But if our entire group dislikes you, shouldn’t you consider if the problem lies with you?"
"That's really funny!"
Linda, seeing Nancy being bullied, pulled her behind and confronted the group.
"Do you even know Nancy? Have you ever spoken to her before? Without any basic interaction, disliking her only proves your jealousy!"
Yvonne, indignant, retorted, "Jealous of her for what? What does she have that so many of us would be jealous of?"
"Well, there's a lot!"
Linda, hands on her hips, mocked them, "You're jealous that Nancy got the direct pass, is David's favorite student, and that she and I were the only ones invited to dine with the big shots by the organizers..."
This statement made several girls blush.
They were unable to deny their jealousy despite their reluctance to admit it.
Riva, deeply exasperated and with a darkening face, said, "Nancy, we dislike you not because of jealousy, but because of your bad character..."
"Character?"
Nancy, stepping out from behind Linda, confronted Riva.
"Do you know what kind of person I am? How many of you really understand me? Just because you heard something about me, you claim I have a bad character. Everyone has a mouth to speak and ears to listen, but not everyone uses their brain. Believing whatever you hear is clearly a lack of intellect!"
A girl from the back, emotionally charged, shouted, "Damn! She's calling us brainless!"
The other girls also became agitated, as no one likes to be called brainless. In an instant, the mood became heated, with more than twenty girls ready to confront Nancy and Linda...
