Chapter 404: What Just Happened?

Just then, a loud voice came from outside the door, "What are you doing!? Why are all of you crowded here?"

The girls were startled and turned to look at the entrance.

David stood there, holding a thermos, his usually gentle eyes now blazing with anger.

Despite their agitation, none of the girls dared to act out in front of David.

They quickly moved aside, some even trying to hide behind their peers.

None of them wanted to be noticed by David.

But unfortunately, David saw each one of them clearly.

Seeing the girls silent and huddled to one side, David, with the thermos still in hand, strode in, followed closely by Smith and Charlie.

Smith, sweating profusely, tried to appease the situation, "Mr. Firth, sorry for this scene. They are just young girls, full of vigor and just getting to know each other, so small frictions are inevitable."

Charlie turned his head, his piercing gaze like a sharp knife, landing on Smith's face.

"Smith, I asked you not to disclose my relationship with Nancy because I wanted her to rely on her own skills in the training camp. I don’t want anyone to give her any preferential treatment, nor will I pull any strings for her. But if she gets hurt here, I won't forgive anyone who bullies her!"

Smith's back was drenched in cold sweat. He hadn't expected the training camp, on its very first day, to isolate and even gang up on Nancy.

He could only remark internally on Nancy's 'charm'.

"Alright."

He said, taking a deep breath. "Mr. Firth, don't worry, I'll handle this matter. I assure you Mrs. Firth won’t suffer any injustice."

Charlie glanced indifferently into the practice room, then turned and walked away.

At that moment, David entered the room, scanned the other group members, and then approached Nancy.

"Nancy, what just happened?"

Nancy replied calmly, "There are eighteen rooms for each group, and each group has only twenty-five members. Most rooms have just one person. Linda and I came late and found no empty rooms, so we waited outside. But even after two hours, no one offered to let us in."

Her gaze fell on Yvonne as she continued, "We then entered the nearest room with only one person inside, and found her playing with her phone at the piano. At first, we politely asked her to let us practice, but she was extremely arrogant and refused. Unable to refute us, she brought all the group members here in frustration."

She chuckled coldly, "After they all arrived, they firmly told us that none of them would give up their rooms for us. Not only that, they accused me of bad character and even wanted to start a fight..."

One of the girls, unable to accept Nancy's account, shouted, "Stop twisting the truth! It was you who insulted us as brainless. We were just angry and wanted to confront you."
