Chapter 408: Are You Done Speaking?

Smith and Charlie had witnessed the previous incident from behind, but Smith pretended as if he was unaware of anything. Glancing at Yvonne, he frowned and looked at David.

"What’s going on? Why kick her out?"

David pointed at the slap mark on his face, roaring furiously, "Damn it, she ruined my face! It's the first time I've been hit in my life. Such insubordination! If I don't kick her out, do you expect me to cozy up with her?"

Linda, standing aside, nearly burst into laughter.

David is so funny.

She couldn't help it!

Nancy too struggled to contain her laughter, turning her face away with her shoulders shaking.

Smith's mouth twitched as he fought back his laughter, nodding seriously, "If she dares to hit you, she definitely can't stay."

Yvonne, recovering from the shock of hitting David, panicked upon hearing Smith readily agree to expel her. She felt a surge of grievance.

"Smith, it's not like that, not like that at all!"

Smith looked at her sternly, "Then what is it like?"

Yvonne bit her lip hard, not wanting to leave the camp. She spoke up.

"I was practicing in the room when Nancy and Linda barged in and tried to drive me out. I hadn’t finished practicing. How could I leave? So, I argued with them. They were very aggressive and even threatened to hit me. I was scared, so I called everyone over."

"You..."

Linda, infuriated, was about to retort but was stopped by Nancy.

Turning to Nancy in confusion, she saw Nancy shaking her head and then glancing towards Charlie.

Linda suddenly realized.

With Charlie there, Yvonne couldn’t falsely accuse Nancy.

She closed her mouth, folding her arms, watching Yvonne eagerly. She was curious to see how Yvonne would twist the truth in front of Charlie.

Yvonne continued, tears welling up, "When David arrived, he sided with Nancy without knowing the facts and even threatened to kick us all out of the camp. The other students got scared and wanted me to take the blame. In a moment of anger, I fought with them. When David intervened, I didn’t know it was him, so..."

Charlie, who had been silent, coldly watched her, "Are you done speaking?"

Yvonne looked up at him. Not knowing who he was but realizing his importance in Smith's office.

She nodded, tearfully pleading, "Sir, they say the onlooker sees most of the game. Please, you must help me get justice."

Charlie's lips curved slightly, "Yes, of course. I wouldn't let Smith wrong a good person."

Yvonne's eyes lit up at his words. While crying pitifully, she approached Charlie and, reaching him, deliberately put on a woeful face. Grasping the fabric of Charlie's sleeve like a lifeline, she pleaded.

"Sir, you are such a good person. Please, you must help me..."
