Chapter 415: I Just Love You So Much!

Arriving at Smith's office door, Nancy looked around to make sure no one was nearby before knocking.

"Come in."

Hearing the voice, her heart skipped a beat. She turned the doorknob and slowly opened the door.

Inside the office was just one person. When she saw who it was, she quickly stepped in, closed the door swiftly, and waited for her racing heart to calm down before she let out a sigh of relief and approached.

"Hey, hubby, why does it feel like I'm sneaking around with you?"

"Heh..."

Charlie chuckled softly, reached out to pull her hand, and sat her on his lap.

His deep eyes lifted to stare at Nancy's face, as if he hadn't seen her in a long time, gazing at her intently.

"I came here openly. If you make it seem secretive, who's to blame?"

Nancy didn't want it to be this way either, but with everyone in the training camp already having opinions about her, being seen entering Smith's office alone might spark more gossip.

She pouted a bit frustratedly, "I just came to see my husband, why is it so difficult..."

"It's alright, don't be upset."

Charlie turned and brought over a bag he had placed on the coffee table, "I brought you some delicious food, all your favorites."

Nancy quickly got off his lap and opened the boxes one by one, finding sweet and sour ribs, corn cakes, roast duck, and other foods that could be eaten at room temperature.

"Wow, so much..."

Her eyes lit up at the sight of the food, and she kissed Charlie on the cheek, "Thank you, hubby!"

Charlie smiled and handed her a pair of chopsticks, "Eat up."

Nancy took the chopsticks but didn't eat much, just a few peanuts and a couple of sips of juice, then put the chopsticks down.

Charlie looked at her in surprise, "Don't like the taste?"

"No."

Nancy covered the boxes, "I want to wait and eat with Linda at lunch, so we don't have to eat the Western food provided by the organizers."

Both she and Linda were from Henriana, and while Western food was fine occasionally, eating it all the time was difficult for them.

Charlie, watching her profile, smiled lightly, "Okay, then tell me what you want to eat tomorrow, and send me a message. I'll bring it for you."

"Ah, hubby, why are you so good?"

Nancy turned around, wrapping her arms around Charlie's neck, her amber eyes brimming with love, "I just love you so much!"

...

Once Nancy left, Linda became restless, too curious about what Nancy could be doing at the camp.

Finally, when Nancy returned, Linda immediately stood up and ran over, "Nan, you're back?"

Nancy lifted the bag she was carrying, "We don't have to go to the cafeteria for lunch, let's eat here."

"Hm?"

Linda looked down at the large bag in Nancy's hand, curiously asking, "Did you go out to buy food?"

Nancy laughed, "The training camp doesn't allow going out, are you silly?"

"Right."

Linda slapped her forehead and followed Nancy to the coffee table. When she saw Nancy taking out the food boxes, a sudden realization hit her, and she exclaimed in surprise, "Could it be that Charlie came?"
