Nancy's face finally darkened, her amber eyes swirling with anger.
"Don't you know it's rude to point at people? Even if you don't recognize my Master, he is still your elder by age. In my country, hitting you for this would be considered light punishment. Believe it or not, we might have chopped off your hand!"
Rivata was not easily intimidated. She had merely pointed at Andrew and got slapped by Nancy, so how could she accept it?
She raised her hand again, pointing at Andrew, "I just pointed at him, so what? If you dare, try chopping off my hand!"
Nancy, previously pitied in front of Vivian due to Andrew's vulnerability, did not mean she was easy to bully.
Without hesitation, she raised her hand and slapped Rivata hard.
Another "slap" echoed, and Rivata's hand instantly swelled, showing how hard Nancy had hit her.
Rivata, in pain, furrowed her brow. She had to perform soon, but now her hand was swollen from Nancy's slap. How could she perform to her full potential?
She glared at Nancy and suddenly charged at her, "Nancy, I've had enough of you!"
As the situation escalated, Andrew quickly pulled Nancy behind him, protecting her firmly.
Linda and Patrick, too, could not stand idly by. They both stepped in front of Nancy.
"Rivata, what are you raving about!? Nancy is right! In our country, pointing at someone is considered very rude. It's not just about pointing at elders; even among peers, it calls for a beating!"
Rivata, furious and frustrated, yelled, "Get out of my way! If I don't tear Nancy apart today, I..."
"Rivata!"
Suddenly, a stern voice interrupted. Rivata's teacher stood up and walked over to her, placing a hand on her.
Rivata turned, looking at him with a sense of injustice, "Teacher!"
Her teacher took a deep breath and shook his head at her, "Indeed, in any country, pointing at someone is considered rude."
Rivata, not expecting even her own teacher to take her side, felt her eyes well up with tears.
Just as she was about to burst into tears, her teacher turned to Nancy.
"Young lady, Rivata was impolite, but hitting her was also wrong."
Nancy, not wanting to be shielded by others, pushed Linda aside and approached Rivata's teacher.
Despite being reprimanded, she respectfully nodded to Rivata's teacher.
"Sir, you may not understand what my Master means to me. He is not only my Master but also my father! Although I'm not his biological daughter, I'm his adopted one, raised with great difficulty. How could I tolerate my own father being publicly humiliated? If it were you, could you bear it?"
Rivata's teacher's face reddened. He was, after all, a renowned pianist with top-notch upbringing and manners. Nancy's words also pained him.
Indeed, if it were his father being humiliated in public, wouldn't he fight back?
“Well...”
He sighed and shook his head, "Although what you say is true, hitting her was still wrong. I know neither of you would agree to apologize to the other, so let's do this..."
