Chapter 429: You'll Be Leading Them Astray!

Zach glanced at him, immediately adopting the posture of a grandmaster in the piano world, and spoke seriously, "I do know Nancy. I once wanted to take her as my disciple, but she refused."

The four mentors were stunned, "!!!"

That was a real shocker!

Who was Zach?

A god-like figure, even revered by them, had actually offered to take a disciple and was refused!

David felt particularly bewildered, thinking how fortunate he was that Nancy chose him. What a blessing it was!

Seeing the four of them stunned, Zach cleared his throat lightly, "Which one of you is Nancy’s mentor?"

David immediately stepped forward, bowing and scraping, "I am."

"You?"

Zach nodded, "Good, I entrust Nancy to you. If she doesn't win the championship, it's on you for leading her astray!"

David was speechless.

That was a serious accusation!

Zach's implication was clear: Nancy already had the talent to win. If she didn’t, it meant David had taught her poorly or negatively influenced her.

David's heart raced with fear, wiping the cold sweat off his forehead, he forced a laugh, "Indeed, I have high hopes for her! I also believe she has the potential to win..."

Zach, uninterested in his loyalty, glanced again towards Nancy, muttering in frustration, "Why doesn’t Nan look at me? She seems unhappy?"

Hearing this, David puffed up his chest, "I might know why!"

"Really?"

Zach looked at him again, "You know?"

"Yes!"

David recounted the earlier incident where Rivata and her teacher targeted Nancy upon her arrival. His heart raced as he spoke, noticing Zach’s increasingly dark expression.

"Bern, right! He's really something! I’ve never even heard of Andrew, and I think he doesn’t need to be in the piano world anymore!"

His words not only shocked the mentors but also left Smith gaping.

Charlie also frowned, looking at Zach, "Indeed, I don’t think he needs to be around anymore."

How the four judges left the stage, they couldn't recall. Their legs felt like jelly.

Was Nancy's influence really that powerful?

Even Zach admired her to the extent of wanting to ostracize Bern...

This...

Except for David, the other three judges wiped the cold sweat from their foreheads.

Hamya turned mechanically towards David, "David, you seem to handle it better! We can hardly walk, and you’re still calm."

David snapped back, "Calm my foot! I’m terrified! Thankfully, when Nancy was bullied by my team members, I firmly stood by her side, even to the point of dismissing all of them. Otherwise, my fate might be worse than this Bern’s!"

The others didn’t know this; they just watched the mentors tremblingly descend from the stand, fantasizing about meeting Zach after the contest.

Especially Rivata, her eyes gleaming, she whispered to her teacher, "Teacher, after the contest, I want to meet Zach. Do you know what he likes? I need to prepare."
