Chapter 437: Stop Right There!

Rivata was seething with resentment, convinced Nancy didn't deserve the first place. But from a fair perspective, she knew Nancy's performance was on par with international masters.

Regretfully, she had underestimated Nancy and now faced the consequences of their bet.

"Rivata."

Bern's face was thunderous as he spoke, "Let's go."

Rivata, initially reluctant and wanting to cry foul, saw her teacher's expression and felt a chill.

The thought of publicly apologizing to Nancy and her little-known teacher was unimaginable.

"Okay."

She quickly made up her mind, stood up, and walked towards the exit with Bern...

Linda, however, caught sight of them trying to sneak away and immediately shouted, "Rivata! Stop right there!"

Rivata, caught off guard by Linda's exuberant call, froze in her tracks.

Bern, too, knew he couldn't just walk away after being called out like that.

He and Rivata reluctantly turned around.

Linda, pulling Nancy along, ran towards them.

Andrew and Patrick followed closely behind.

In the VIP seats, Charlie's eyes narrowed slightly, and without a word, he stood up to join them.

"Charlie, wait for me!"

At a time like this, Zach wasn't going to miss supporting Nancy.

He quickly followed Charlie, heading towards the commotion.

Rivata's heart sank as she saw more people, including Charlie and Zach, approaching. Her facial muscles twitched...

"Rivata!"

Linda, hands on her hips, confronted Rivata aggressively, "Trying to sneak away after losing the bet? You were so arrogant when making the bet, and now you want to flee with your tail between your legs?"

"Linda, don't be too much!"

Rivata's face turned red with anger, whispering a warning as Charlie and Zach arrived, "It was just a joke, a mere banter among acquaintances. Don't take it seriously. Otherwise, I'll make sure you can't stay in this training camp!"

"Oh, I'm so scared!"

Linda sarcastically patted her chest, "Daring to bet but not to admit defeat, and now threatening me? Do you think you own this training camp?"

By now, Charlie and Zach had reached them. Charlie glanced at Rivata and asked in a stern voice, "What's going on here?"

Before Linda could respond, Rivata hurriedly said, "Sir, before the competition started, I made a casual joke with Nancy. We all know each other, it was just for fun. But now that they've won, they're taking it seriously and stopping me and my teacher from leaving..."

"Rubbish!"

Linda spat disdainfully, "A joke? Is that how you joke?"

Then, turning to Bern, she said, "And who are you? Some stray dog from the trash? Bringing your little dog here to bite people, thinking we’re afraid to fight back?"
